G'morning everyone, from a very frosty start here in the highlands down under.

After a busy week I just might get a chance to just relax today instead of wandering around the village fixing things.

Anyhow, I'll just rest up here for another 4 hours and then I'll rest up a bit longer with a beer or 3.

Cheers.

I was thinking about you, Wiggo, the other day, when I read a story about a man who took home a rock from Uluru, and started having bad luck. I think he returned it; not sure if his luck improved after that.

Uluru is spooky looking. I googled to see if people climb it, and saw that is frowned upon, but Devils Tower, which it reminds me of, is a big climbing destination.

I found it fascinating Gordon the way it just grows out of the horizon as you approach it and like an iceberg most of it is underground, but what I found even more fascinating was that at sometime back in the ancient past that rock fell over on its side.

Anyhow people, it's LLB time. ;-)

Cheers.

G'morning everyone, from another frosty -4C start in the highlands down under.

Well it's now a windy, but sunny, 8C (feels like 2C) out there and we may get to a max of 14C (still with that chilly wind blowing off the snow down south) which isn't very good for a Good Friday.

Anyhow it might warm up some more in the next 2hrs or Beer O'clock will become Rum O'clock.

Cheers.

Just popped open this beer, and it's time for a movie.

Imperial Oyster & Horopito Stout brewed with Te Matuku Bay oysters.
Weird but why not. And our retailer Systembolaget have it.

G'morning everyone, from a cool, cloudy and windy day in the highlands down under.

Hi Julie, long time no see, I hope that you've been well.

Hopefully today we'll get some rain here to settle the dust (at least for a few hours anyway).

Anyhow, seeing that Beer O'clock is still over 4 hours away, I better get a coffee. ;-)

Cheers.

I didn't have any beer, but I went out to see a friend play tonight in a band, and my ears are ringing. I forgot how loud live music is, lol.

G'morning everyone, from a cool and cloudy day in the highlands down under.

Well it's been a busy short working week here so far after our long weekend and I'll be off again to do some more work in about an hour which hopefully won't won't infringe on today's Beer O'clock.

Anyhow, it's time for 1 more cup of coffee before I get ready to head off.

Cheers.

Wiggo, I know you would not approve of fruit in your beer, but I do like an orange slice in my Blue Moon -

Definitely, I concur. No way to duplicate that in a bottle.

G'morning everyone, from a very frosty Good Friday in the highlands down under.

Well I've got a backpack brush cutter to work on here this morning, but I've got to wait for the ceiling fan downstairs to warm up the lower shed before I start on that, and that should get me pretty close to Beer O'clock as well as finally getting a trip hazard off my shed floor.

Anyhow, I better open up for office hours and then get myself another coffee, have a good day (or night depending on where you are).

Cheers.

G'morning everyone, from a cold and windy Sunday in the highlands down under.

Well the weather here this weekend (even though sunny) has been miserable with an icy gale blowing through the place. Yesterday we reached 13C, but that felt like 5C and with today's expected max is just 9C it'll likely feel like near zero (as the snow down south slowly makes its way up the range).

I would be a great Rum O'clock day, but tomorrow is another doctors visit and possible blood tests so I better behave and stick to a few beers instead.

Anyhow, enjoy your weekend and cheers.

G'morning everyone, as we here in the highlands down under wait for expected rain/sleet/snow to arrive.

It may seem like only last month, but I'm due for another bi-annual medical in town today and I'm not looking forward to this 1 as it's bloody freezing here and will be colder in town.

But after I get back (and thaw out) I'm going to hoist a few in memory of Grant Nelson (may you R.I.P. buddy).

Cheers.
