I'm not diabetic, My heart and arteries are not clogged, I've had a few CT scans and blood tests to confirm that. Plus except for 3 molars that were drilled and filled when I was a kid and then lost cause of an MRI, I have all My adult teeth, I've had no cavities since I was at least 10yrs old. I do have asthma and OA, neither of which I can do much about, besides keep the Digital Thermostat at 79F, and yes the gas furnace is on now. I won't go into My hair or My nephews lack of same.

At your weight there is no way you can be considered healthy. And it would save a lot if you knocked the heat back to 73F, that's more than hot enough for anybody. I have mine at 21C (70F).

edit] I just looked it up, if you were to drop your temperature to the same as mine, you would save 10% on your energy bill.

I have gas(natural) heat, the last bill was $28.75 w/a 30% Care discount, without Care this would have been about $41.07 and below 79F I cough cause I have asthma, cold foods except ice cream do the same, I drink soda at room temperature. Even at 42F the furnace doesn't stay on longer than 10mins, I timed it.

I have 3 dislocated joints(both hips & right shoulder), OA, 3 titanium screws to fix the lower left leg that was broken in 2002, ruined ankles and bad knees, some from a fall or two and the knees from rapid growth in height when I was 12yrs old(5'10.75" @ 12yrs, I could deck an adult). I also have 2 hernias, one on My left rib cage and the other is a Hiatal Hernia, and I have had a stiff back since the 70's.

I'm ambidextrous too.

So your saying the experts are wrong.

The researchers found that a room temperature of about 71 degrees Fahrenheit did not trigger asthma symptoms
From a medical article on heat, humidity and asthma.

It's currently 41F outside, I've tried 76F and 78F and I still coughed, I got to 79F which worked for Me, I also live in a 14'x60' mobile home w/nominally 2"x6" walls, yes I know the difference between planed lumber and rough cut lumber walls, I've owned both. And $28.75 is not bad for a gas bill. The January Bill was supposed to be here today, probably Monday, I hope.

With the normal hysteresis in the system there will be a ±2C (±3F) variation in temperature within the area, so the idea you notice a difference from 76F to 78F and on to 79F is very unlikely.

There's a dizzying array of Coke flavors nowadays, but the original is still my favorite.

Anybody ever use one of those Coke Freestyle machines?

Yes I have. I like Mello Yellow Peach. My brother likes it to but does the diet version.

I like the Mello Yellow diet. Hold the extra flavors.

That's what happened here and that is with a digital thermostat, don't like that? You can't handle the truth(thanks Jack)...

And yes My parents smoked, though I never picked up the habit.

Getting back to caffeine, I've heard that a lighter coffee roast actually has more bang for the buck in it than a dark roast.

Caffeine content is not really indicated by the colour of the roast, that is very much driven by the exact type of bean used - some beans intrinsically have far more caffeine than others.
Flavour is very much driven by the degree of roast, a "high" roast will tend to give a richer taste than a low roast, and too many people think a "strong, bitter" coffee is one high in caffeine.....

Well, by lighter roast, I do mean a low roast. Less roasting of the bean retaining the caffeination more.

Excuse me for one quick, off topic, reply.
Vic, It doesn't matter weather your thermostat is analogue or digital, there has to be hysteresis in the system.
