But haven't seen a peep of any notice in News or Technical News that we are finally going to start getting Parkes data to crunch.

Sigh. It looks like you can download the "raw" unsplit data outside of the Seti@Home channels. And start processing it.

I was feeling happy until I wandered down one of the links and discovered it was referring to Seti@Home as part of the tutorials.

Then I realized we were already privy (in theory) to that data.

So like the current answer to the LGM search (where are they) the data seems to be missing. Or has been re-named to let it sneak under our radar.

Greetings,

Did they up the total WU count again? I used to have no more than 450 in progress, now I'm at 728.

Have a great day! :)

Doesn’t look like it. You probably have some ghosts.

Hi Ian,

Yeah, you're probably correct. I did see a BUNCH of compute errors when I got BOINC running on this clean install. No clue where they are at, I got a new host ID and merged the 2. They're probably in limbo somewhere. I thought BOINC would have picked up where it left off because I saved my anonymous BOINC directory and copied it over from storage to the new clean Minty install. ;)

Have a great day! :)

PCIe 6.0 Specification Hits Version 0.5: On Track for 2021
It took PCI-SIG long seven years to complete the PCIe 4.0 specification, a long slog that the group has committed to avoiding going forward for PCIe 5.0 and beyond. With PCIe 6.0, PCI-SIG is keeping up that rapid pace of development, releasing the first draft version of the spec less than a year after formal announcement of the spec.

Yeah, but it will suck power like there is no tomorrow.
A GTX 1660 Super would have slightly better performance, and would use half the power.

Yes it will and it's a Maxwell based card that uses the same core as a GTX 980Ti.

Cheers.

With the current situation in regards to work been handed out slowly because the databases so big, is it advisable to keep asking for work or not? What I'm asking is does it help the situation or make it worse.
Since writing the above there is 1000 tasks ready to send

Depends on what is being sent out.
If it's all re-sends, it helps a huge amount. If it's new work, it's just adding to the present backlog. If it's new work, and it's shorties or noise bombs, then it's making things a whole lot worse.

Win 10 is an operating system. Is has nothing to do with BOINC or Seti.

is it asking the server even when you choose. no new task. it keept ring back to the server.
Even with No New Tasks set it will still report completed the work to the servers. It just won't ask for any more new work.

All the resends are currently processing or has been processed. I will process the remaining work as fast as I can

Since you are running multiple projects it will contact those servers even when it is finished with any Seti work.

It will be interesting to see whether or not the purge queue dramatically increases in the next day or so since numbers have come down

Are you saying the results only sit in the purge queue for 5 minutes or are you referring to something completely different?
