Now you have to ask if they're running brothels and drug dens in these prisons.

Actually, Both.

Sadly it's nothing new. It has been going on for as many years as I can remember across the USA....

Just do a WWW search. It's not usually making inter/national headlines. You will find it's mostly reported in local news articles (TV, newspaper).

WM Garage Doors is an odd place to find a report like this, but they have a researched the UK regions with the highest and lowest reported crimes. https://wmgaragedoors.co.uk/a-comprehensive-crime-report/

And I am pleased to see that the Ribble Valley, where I live, is the 2md lowest region.

Although I do think it would have been better if the numbers were calculated per capita.

Some coppers will even break the law to keep up with their quotas.

In the past, it's more than likely that it would have remained hidden for a very long time.
However due to the rise of the Internet & social media, how stupid can one be?

More crooked cops to worry about.

Concern at the rise of US constitutional sheriffs – the MAGA cops.

Across America, there’s a new breed of top dog cop in town.

They call themselves “constitutional sheriffs” and many believe they can pick and choose which laws to uphold – and which to ignore.

There are fears some of these sheriffs might even try and meddle in the upcoming presidential election.

Seemingly all constitutional sheriffs support Donald Trump and believe the 2020 election, which he lost, was “stolen”.

These MAGA cops, all onboard for Mr Trump, aim to number a third of all sheriffs nationwide.

“It’s a slippery slope,” said one current sheriff opposed to constitutional sheriffs.

“They believe they’re all powerful.”

Civil rights groups have decried constitutional sheriffs and claimed there are links to right wing extremists, sovereign citizens and white nationalist groups.

Constitutional sheriffs have pushed back, claiming they are fighting “tyranny” and that links to extremist groups are overblown.......
There's plenty wrong in the U.S..

I wonder if this was 1 of those moronic “constitutional sheriffs”.

A county sheriff in Kentucky has been charged with murder after he allegedly shot and killed a district court judge in his chambers.

A county sheriff was charged with murder on Thursday after he allegedly shot and killed a district court judge in the southern US state of Kentucky.

Letcher County Sheriff Mickey Stines was taken into custody in connection with a shooting at the Letcher County courthouse, the Louisville Courier Journal newspaper reported.

He was charged with one count of murder in the first degree, according to CBS News.

A spokesman for police told the outlet the shooting occurred after an argument between Mr Stines and judge Kevin Mullins, 54, in the latter’s office.

Investigators have not yet announced a motive.......

Some people just don't bother about the consequeces of their actions.
After police met him at Stansted, PC Khan was arrested before being interviewed under caution, but a decision was made not to consider criminal charges.
wou;d lo have to have witnessed that. :-)

FBI special agent stole nearly $10,000 in cash from homes he searched in Texas, feds say
A former FBI agent has pleaded guilty to stealing money and property from homes while executing search warrants, Texas officials said.

(The FBI agent), 37, of Houston “admitted to theft of personal property and providing false statements” while in his official capacity, according to a Sept. 23 news release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Texas.

(He) stole nearly $10,000 in cash between March 2022 and July 2023, keeping the money for personal use, including to buy guns and gun parts, officials said.
(He) also stole FBI property and pawned it for cash, according to officials.

Court records show (he) made purchases on his government-issued credit card and falsified documents to make it look like those charges were “case-related expenses.”

The ongoing saga of crooked cops continues.

Lawyer X Nicola Gobbo says Victoria Police threatened her 'frequently', as she seeks damages.

And it was all cooked up by ex-chief commissioner Simon Overland and the imported Deputy Commissioner of police at the time Sir Ken Jones (how he ever got given the title of "Sir" is beyond me), but which 1 was the actual brains behind it all is still a mystery (though both should've served jail time for corruption at the least over it).

A case of racism, or is it that they didn't read those volumes on rules and law codes plus the acts of parliament that support them?

NSW Police officers found to have engaged in 'serious misconduct' against a vulnerable Aboriginal man in custody, says Commission.

The NSW Police watchdog has made findings of "serious misconduct" against three officers and recommended the force's commissioner take disciplinary action against them.

The new report from the Law Enforcement Conduct Commission (LECC) relates to the treatment of a vulnerable Aboriginal man in police custody.

In May 2020, the 29-year-old Aboriginal man was arrested by the officers following a search warrant being undertaken at the man's home.

He was charged with a series of larceny and break and enter offences, and taken into custody.

While in custody, the man received legal advice from two different solicitors — both had advised the man that he should not be interviewed.

The report from LECC found that the man's legal representation had informed police of their client's request, but that he was still interviewed by two of the three officers.

During one of the two interviews, the man asked the officers to stop the interview several times, as per the report, so that he could speak to a solicitor again. Findings show the requests from the man were ignored.

One of the three officers was found to have put false information to the man during the interview, as well as inaccurate information in his statement.

The third officer associated with the case, who the report said was a custody manager, was found to have failed to protect the man's rights — including his right to silence........
Busting them back to cadet status and send them back to the Goulburn academy to study all those volumes again plus throw in an anti-racism course while they're at it just for good measure.
