FBI opens criminal investigations into violent Los Angeles County deputy encounters.

The FBI has opened criminal investigations into violent encounters involving Los Angeles County sheriff's deputies, including one in which a deputy punched a woman in the face as she held her baby.

Federal authorities visited the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department headquarters to take documents related to the probes, according to an email obtained by the newspaper, the Los Angeles Times reported Saturday.

Department officials confirmed the visit and told the newspaper they planned to cooperate with investigators.

The second case being scrutinized by the FBI involves a deputy who threw a woman to the ground by her neck last month in a grocery store parking lot after she started recording an arrest with her cellphone.

In addition to the federal investigations, the California Department of Justice has agreed to review the case of 18-year-old Andres Guardado, who was shot in the back three years ago by a sheriff’s deputy in the city of Gardena, south of Los Angeles, the email said......

That moronic Ohio police officer who released police dog onto Black man with hands raised is fired, but his Benevolent Association reckons that he was fired without just cause and that the union's senior counsel had filed a grievance.

I reckon that the video alone is "just cause" myself.

Obviously you don't have to be able to read to be a copper, but it makes for a good laugh. LOL

An on-duty police officer has made a bit of a fool of himself with a slide stunt he most definitely regretted instantly.

....The immense slide, which may be the longest in the city, was unveiled as the centrepiece of the new $95 million (A$144 million) renovation to City Hall Plaza in November and has been popular among the city’s children, according to The Globe.

Signs at the playground indicate that the slide is “not intended for adult use,” and should only be used by children ages 5 to 12...

Just another dirty copper.

Former NYPD union leader gets 2 years in prison for theft scheme.

The former president of the country’s fifth-largest police union was sentenced to two years in prison for a stealing more than $600,000 by filing phony expense reports, officials say.

Edward Mullins pleaded guilty in January to one count of wire fraud and was sentenced on Thursday, according to a press release from the US Attorney’s Office, Southern District of New York. ....

For crying out loud.

Sheriff's Deputy Accused Of Shooting Arkansas Woman While Trying To Shoot Her Dog.

Mike Loe, recently told local ABC affiliate KATV that Williams shot her in August 2022 and the bullet is still lodged in her shin.

Hight told the outlet that she’s experienced anxiety and had to go to frequent doctor’s appointments after the incident.

The suit says the deputy was “in no danger whatsoever from the animal” and had “no basis to discharge his weapon.”

In bodycam footage of the incident obtained by KATV, Williams is heard shouting at the dog on Hight’s porch as he stands a short distance away.

“Get back, get your dog, I’ll kill this ************. Get your godd**n dog,” he says, according to KATV.

Williams is heard firing a warning shot before yelling, “You better get back. I’ll kill this.” He then fires a shot, appearing to aim at the dog.

“You just shot me,” Hight, who is next to another deputy, screams as she falls on her porch.

“I shot who?” the deputy asked.......

Clown world.
The Sikh convenience store clerk who beat the piss out of a shoplifter with a stick in is under investigation from Stockton, California police for assault.

The clerks also said the same man stole from their store two other times.

Good question as to where the police were after the previous two occasions...

At least good restraint was shown to not do anything more than a frightening bruising...

Very expensively frustrating all round...

Stay safe folks!

Ex-FBI agent convicted of convincing woman of ‘secret probation,’ conned her for $700K
A retired FBI agent was convicted of conning a North Texas woman out of $700,000 by convincing her she was on “secret probation,” Leigha Simonton, U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Texas, announced in a news release Thursday.

(FBI AGENT), age 64, was indicted in May 2021. A jury convicted him of one count of wire fraud conspiracy, five counts of wire fraud, one count of engaging in monetary transactions in property derived from unlawful activity, and one count of false impersonation of a federal officer.

His co-conspirator, ***, age 64, was also indicted in December 2021 and was convicted of conspiracy to commit wire fraud.

FBI AGENT & CONSPIRATOR told the woman that the made-up judge appointed them to administer the conditions of her six-year “secret probation,” according to the release. The two of them had C.T. text them reports of her daily activities. They also had her compensate them for their “supervisory” services, the release said.

The woman gave (FBI AGENT) more than $700,000 and (CONSPIRATOR) more than $50,000. ...

Can't they employ anyone but morons?

A US diner has been tackled to the floor while holding a baby and then beaten by police officers in a horrific case of mistaken identity.

I wonder if anyone has totaled up the cost of what stupid cops have cost the taxpayer.

The profession is attractive to a mix of people...

Unfortunately, there are some, who are very attracted to the 'status' and 'glory', that we really don't want...

... And yet all too often, the conditions are such that we are desperate to accept anyone to the role...

All in the world we shape and make for ourselves...

Arrest of a police officer for robbery [in Berlin, Germany]

Search warrants and an arrest warrant were executed against a 48-year-old police chief inspector yesterday. The man is accused of robbing a 62-year-old motorist of cash and mobile phones outside of his duty hours and using a civilian police car [without police livery] belonging to his police department together with an unknown accomplice.

On July 19, 2023, around 11:15 p.m., the police officer is said to have waved the target out of the city highway near Messedamm using blue lights and police signals and brought him to a stop. He is said to have carried his official uniform, including his service weapon, in a holster. In view of these circumstances, the victim is said to have given the impression – as planned – that this was a proper police measure.

As part of this alleged identity check, the accused and the accomplice are said to have handcuffed the man and brought him into the police vehicle. Then they are said to have taken more than 57,000 Euros in cash and two mobile phones from his car. After the alleged measures had been completed, the police chief inspector is said to have even given the alleged victim a police seizure report - which did not, however, list the confiscated money.

This is quite unusual for Germany. We only have professional police authorities (no county or municipal police forces). All police officers are state or federal government officials. They risk their retirement pension if they are convicted of a serious crime. The suspect is a long-serving police officer with the rank of Chief Inspector (Polizeihauptkommissar), a rank typically followed only by retirement. Rumors are spreading that he is of Turkish origin and belongs to the large Turkish-German community in Berlin.

Two years ago, a 30-year-old police officer from Berlin was arrested for stealing a car, breaking into a jewelry store and trying to sell stolen goods.

My personal prejudice: Something like this can only happen in Berlin (free city; one of our 16 federal states), nowhere else in Germany. For two decades, the police leadership in Berlin has been occupied by (very liberal, left wing) governments with political followers. The police chief is then a former politician. These chiefs never worked as police officers, as is usual in other German states. They also never wear their police uniform, but instead smartly suits (or costumes; mostly female chiefs) like politicians.

Uh Ohhh - The FBI Just Put Some Antioch Cops in Handcuffs.

Nine officers across two police departments in East Bay, Calif. were arrested by FBI agents Thursday after being indicted by a federal grand jury. Of those officers were the slimy Antioch cops exposed for calling Black people gorillas, n-words and all types of degrading insults in their texts.

Over 100 FBI agents were deployed to arrest current and former officers from the Antioch and Pittsburg police departments, according to KRON4 News. The 30-page federal indictment accuses the group of crimes including college degree benefit fraud and violating the civil rights of civilians. As if the APD isn’t in enough hell upon the state and federal probes into their employees’ bigoted banter, two of them were accused of slinging anabolic steroids. They were also accused of trying to destroy the evidence. Another APD cop, Morteza Amiri, was accused of excessive force for deploying his K-9 on 28 people and then saving images of the bloody dog bites in his camera roll....
