Computer 8482155, running LINUX and using NVIDIA 1050 GPU, processes MILKY WAY CPU and GPU work but gets only CPU workfor SETI. Any suggestions ? |

Aborting work limits your ability to get new work until you complete & have validated more WUs. Is GPU processing for Seti enabled on that system? Is it using the same Location as the Windows system? In the Manager, GPU computing isn't "Suspended when in use" or paused at all? If all of these things check out OK, then exit BOINC, restart, then post the first 40 or so messages from the Event log, including a couple of automatic requests for work & the responses. It may be necessary to enable "Work_fetch_debug" (Options, Event log options) if we don't get enough information from the initial startup & work request messages. Grant Darwin NT |

hi, u have to go to the web preference setting here https://setiathome.berkeley.edu/prefs.php?subset=project and set use nvidia GPU The Win10 system is getting GPU work, so they just need to check that the Linux system is set to the same Location as the Windows one, and no local preferences are set to stop GPU processing. Have all 3 GPUs checked, NVIDIA + ATI + INTEL, since I have used all 3 in different machines. I un-checked them and re-checked them saving at both steps ( just for the fun of it ?). I will try processing all SETI tasks I get for the next several days, Perhaps I will get some GPU work. Thank you all for your responses. |

You're running anonymous platform on that system, have you got a GPU application installed? It would be worth posting messages from the Event log when it requests Seti work to see what the response from the Scheduler is. Grant Darwin NT |

Deleted SETI from list of projects on this PC, rebooted and added SETI to list of projects to run on this PC. Started to get SETI GPU tasks. Both projects, MILKYWAY and SETI are now processing CPU tasks. |
