Sadly I'm testing a new App that turns every OverFlow into an Invalid. Perhaps that's why the server gave me Very Few on the 11th and the 12th, but now I suddenly have pages of them on the 13th.
It must be the 13th....I suppose. The last time was a few days ago when I suddenly found the Host with a couple Hundred Overflows.
Check it out, https://setiathome.berkeley.edu/results.php?hostid=6796479&state=3
Back to the Old App for now.

I thought that was the reason for the beta project to be able to test out new applications?

If we are running on fumes on Monday morning (Tuesday my time) it will allow timed out tasks to be returned quicker in turn making the database smaller. I don't have any timed out tasks. I was just looking for a positive in the situation

. . While I like the positive spin I think the 26 hour outrage would have cleared out most if not all of the cobwebs very effectively ... since almost everyone would have emptied their caches in that time ...

Actually the Beta project is to test new Applications for the SETI server. If you don't intend to place the App on the SETI server then there isn't any need for Beta.
The App works just fine in all tests for NON-Aborted tasks. Just as all previous times, soon, the rash of Aborted tasks will pass and there will be few. As it was back on the 11th & 12th, and the times before then.

All the best with your application. I hope it can process work faster but also give great results.

. . doesn't that mean there is no relevant info on that page?
Exactly so. It was my way of reminding people - especially David Anderson - how short-staffed SETI is, and how several once-useful pages have been allowed to wither on the vine by changes we can hardly call 'recent' any more.

Looking on the bright side, it provides plenty of test material to help you find the bug and cure it.

Yes, I am seeing a large increase in overflows also. We will be on fumes by Monday morning if no more tasks are loaded.

Think we will have plenty of work come Monday/Tuesday morning there are currently 9228 channels to work through

See that the worker elves have been busy in the lab this weekend. Appreciated.

Yeah, just started getting some a few minutes ago.
Will have to see if it keeps coming.

Edit- so far so good.
The graphs are showing a short glitch there- Master queries took a dive, In progress took a dive, and Ready to send had a sharp spike.

Edit- spoke too soon.
"Project has no tasks available" is the response again.

Some AP work now being split.
Would be nice to score some before the weekly outage, or before running out of work before the weekly outage.

. . Mostly what I am getting too, but every 6th or 12th attempt gets some work ( or somewhere in between). Funny thing is that when the 1050ti rig gets some it is like 30 or 40, about 3 hours worth. When the 970 rig gets some (and it seems less often) it is only about 20, which is about half an hours worth of work :(.

At the moment, all splitters (except 3 APs) are in Not Running state, across several machines.

What is going on?

The Ready-to-send buffer is full, hence no MB splitters running. The AP buffer never gets full, so those splitters always run (if there is data to be split).
If the Scheduler starts handing out work again, then when the Ready-to-send buffer gets below 600k, the splitters will (should) fire up again.

I havent had a chance to check my systems directly. but based on my stats it looks like they are producing about 90% (in terms of credit) of what they were doing pre last week's outage.

i have two systems that are near identical, both with dual GTX1060's (3GB) both running win7 x64, but one has dual 2.7GHz 12-core chips and the other has dual 2.8GHz 10-core chips. for whatever reason, the 2x 10-core system seems to out perform the 2x 12-core system.

the 10-core system does have a slightly newer nvidia driver, but i didnt think it would make much difference. 397.64 vs 391.35
