I just started getting a few Downloads. Before that it was just, Project has no tasks available, over and over. I haven't been getting any errors, and didn't have any trouble reporting 383 tasks without jumping through hoops...it did take a couple of times to report them all.

The Windows machine finally contacted the servers and reported all tasks. Without me making any changes to tasks reported. Still no work for any host yet. See the SSP finally is caught up on the RTS parameter and is current. Now we fight everyone for work each request.

Are you still trying to report too many tasks at once?

. . hmmm ... maybe. I don't know what the settings are currently ...

. . But the one machine that was reporting AOK was reporting more completed tasks than one that wasn't ...

Didn't have any issue reporting all the tasks on the Linux machines. I have made the change in cc_config in the past to reduce the reported tasks but it never made any difference. Haven't had any issues with reporting all tasks in quite a while . . . . as long as the servers will respond to me that is.

. . From memory that was my experience as well. Setting the reported tasks to a lower number made no difference to the problems back then so I think I went back to defaults. Haven't had a problem since then until this morning.

Hopeful that staff can load more files before the weekend. The Arecibo file from the other day will slow returns down a bit. Not sure why the replica went offline earlier today.

. . Yes I noticed that a few hours ago. I decided it is not a good idea to look at the status page, it only causes anxiety ...

. . According to splitter status there are 3 channels of APs splitting, but the server status says all the AP splitters are down. We are down to less than 700 channels of Blc01 tapes left and I am not at all sure the Blc15 tapes will actually split, they have been idly sitting there for weeks now. It could be a cold weekend for Wiggo :(

The kitties have sent a message to Eric and Jeff in case they are not aware of the dwindling splitter queue.
Not sure if loading new datasets is a manual process or if an automated process has not kicked in yet.

Something that resembles a DDOS attack is going on right now.
