Do ASIC 'miners' work on BOINC projects

This may have been asked before, but without the specifics. Will ASIC Crypto Currency miners work on, say, Seti@home? Inexpensive miners currently listed on eBay include: https://www.ebay.com/itm/253271572863 https://www.ebay.com/itm/152877376855 Or, what seems to be the current industry standard: https://www.ebay.com/itm/273147871128 https://www.ebay.com/itm/362263257576 ($200. and change - plus power supply) If anyone has any experience with implementing any ASIC miner, please let me/us know of your experience ! -- Thanks! |

ASFAIK their name says it all, application specific integrated circuits, so the answer to your question is no, until someone builds one foe Seti which is highly unlikely. |
