2018 Mid Terms, the effect of so many GOP retirements

Today House Speaker Paul Ryan announced his retirement. But he's not the only one this year, there are an unusually high number of retirees. GOP - 25 House Republicans and three Republican senators Democrats - nine House Democrats and zero Democratic senators There is on average a 4% advantage for sitting incumbents, which will be thrown away. And if there is the usual swing away from the sitting Presidents party, in normal times it would not look good for the GOP. Is there any chance the Trump effect can stop a Democratic landslide.
