Marilyn, one of last season's blond babies, has shown up on our back porch quite regularly lately. She is always hungry. Makes me wonder if she is eating for four... or five. Here's hoping she's going to be a mommy!!!

You're most welcome Byron, I had a few budgies growing up as a kid and my parents had some kind of wallpaper that had a foam pattern printed on it that my budgies discovered they could "land" on. Have you ever seen a budgie on a wall?

Now budgies are curious little birds, what's that? And they head towards it. Now picture a budgie that has "landed" on said wallpaper. Where can i go? says the budgie. Apparently up, down, left and right is the answer.

Have you ever seen a budgie "walk" across a wall? I have and it's as WTF and hilarious as you might think :)

I'm having almost as much fun imagining the flocked wallpaper you grew up with.

Well, biologically that is how it works...

Were you lucky enough to know your grandmothers before they passed?

I knew both of my grandparents on both sides. Along with my great grandmother on my mother’s side. I didn’t really know my great grandfather at all.

Yep, but one passed when I was 8yrs and the other when I was 12yrs. Though I only got to meet one of My grandpa's, He was semi important at one time, now He's just a historical figure.
He's the 80yr old guy, Business Owner, Police Chief and City Councilman in Culver City CA.

1923 Photo, yes those are Oil covered dirt streets... The kid is My dad.

Grandma on the left. Yes they sold Gasoline at the curb, the building location is now a parking lot.

The staircase and upstairs still has it. I'll get a pic or two when I pop round tomorrow :)

Never knew my paternal grandparents or maternal grandfather. Often wished that I met my maternal grandmother to thank her for saving my life. Sadly she passed away several months after doing so.
