I can't remember where I saw it, and which country they were talking about (it may have been Spain) but they're herding sheep and goats and other efficient grazers in a systematic method in an attempt to create firebreaks. My personal experience of goats was them eating my breakfast, and my mum's cheque book and her car keys... and being with one when she gave birth to twins - or as my sister and I related to my mum at the time... "the sheep's edited for accuracy |

I have a question that I'll bet someone here can answer - or get the answer and post it here. I looked for somewhere else to ask this question - another forum - but didn't see one that was relevant. ~Sue~ |

This reminded me a teensy bit of when I was trying to waft a really annoying buzzing fly towards the front door to avoid it being hunted by my cats and/or driving me to distraction - and it kind of stopped being able to go anywhere but remained alive and it was kind of worse than anything I'd envisaged it was possible to do - but I had :/ Except this involves a hawk, and it's got a much better ending :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LhBqq8kfjVc |

I knew I had a raccoon living under my house. Last night I counted four raccoons scurrying to hide under my house. I can only assume this is a mama and her babies. Ain't I lucky? ;-) ~Sue~ |

Imagine my surprise to find that Rusty is not a boy, but rather a girl... and she has had two babies. I'll try to get a picture if she comes back soon. Rusty is a blond raccoon who is one of our less frequent visitors. edit: For a picture of Rusty, go to the first photo in this thread taken in March of 2018. |

Raccoon baby news everywhere! YAY!! :) Photo's would be lovely. I think this link fits in here, because although it's not about raccoons, it is about critters (in an indirect sort of way): Barnum’s Animals crackers After more than a century behind bars, the beasts on boxes of animal crackers are roaming free. |
