I would like to set up my work machine to only process during non-work hrs. That means lets say 5pm-7am M-F and only if non-active on Sat and Sun. I can set time restrictions for just my Work PC's but I can not limit days. Any idea how to accomplish this? If it is not available, consider this a feature request. |

BOINC Manager > View > Advanced view > Options > Computing preferences > Daily schedules. Here you can set daily overrides, format is 00:00 - 23:59. So M-F set first value 17:00, second value 07:00, Saturday and Sunday set same time for no restrictions. This has to be set per PC. |

I said this has to be set per PC, but you can go to the data directory (default hidden at C:\Programdata\BOINC on Windows) and copy the global_prefs_override.xml file from one computer and give it to the others. Especially if all the other computing preferences are the same as well. Do Options->Read config files to re-read this configuration file on any of the other computers. |

That is exactly what I am looking for. Thanks! |

Saturday and Sunday set same time for no restrictions.Ah, I just found that this doesn't work anymore. Start time and end time must be different, so leave a minute between them. For instance 18:00 and 17:59, that tells BOINC to continue (and it won't stop for that minute). |
