I cannot connect the network, our "great" firewall of China is the issue.... I am using Google's free wifi service, but cannot contribute much to seti Sorry for my garbage translation, since it is not great to begin with 对ä¸èµ·ï¼Œæˆ‘的翻译很糟糕 (using Google translates pinyin to characters) |

Maybe a near public internet provider seriously started leaking highly concentrated amounts of Net Neutrality into your system? I mean, what do those glass fiber infra-boys know about anything else but shovels and profits? Think about that exploding space-shuttle-solid-fuel-rocket solid-fuel-factory, that was build right on top of a 50" diameter, 200 bar natural gas pipeline without anyone ever noticing a few years ago. Jesus, what are the odds? So it's net neutrality leaking all over the place at yours. Trust me. I can smell it. In a way it was bound to happen. ^i^ Especially after Trump got in charge... Greetz from Amsterdam, folks! See you at the next Proxima Centaury Interstellar Rock Festival! |

With this new credit score that people are complaining about is anyone at the elite level taking notice of the bad credits people are getting now? With RAC dropping faster than Mcdonalds vouchers in Africa why not revert back to what worked well! |

With this new credit score that people are complaining about is anyone at the elite level taking notice of the bad credits people are getting now? . . Credit New isn't actually all that new now. It's been in force for 3 or 4 years or so. People have been complaining about it all the while but it is the way it is. This latest decimation of RACs is either due to some form of external tweaking or some bizarre nature of it's internal structure that it can suddenly turn nasty and just trash credit awards for no particular reason. If you watch your credits closely there may seem to be a very, very slight increase in the points being awarded. When the current slump began the average on my machines seemed to be about 50, then after a while it looked like it might be more like 55, now it is looking like it may have reached as high as 60 (well almost). Dare we hope it might continue to adjust itself upward for a while longer? Stephen ?? |

. . Credit New isn't actually all that new now. It's been in force for 3 or 4 years or so.Actually, nearly 8 years. It was deployed at the same time, when I convinced David to deploy the v6.10 MB app for Fermi cards around May 2010 - and I still shudder at the chaos on these message boards after those cards had been released to retail, but NVidia hadn't communicated successfully with David about the need for, and requirements of, the new app. (see Beta Message 39386 for confirmation of the date. That card is still running, now in host 2901600) |

Yeah. I'd rather be reading about any improvement to our data transfer comms. Meow. "Freedom is just Chaos, with better lighting." Alan Dean Foster |

Regarding that, we were able to get 1.2 Gbps through the link this week. We're not sure yet if that's a fix, or a temporary improvement. @SETIEric@qoto.org (Mastodon) |

You need to keep hammering on the network people to resolve the problem. 1.2Gbps is a fraction of the 10Gbps link you pay for. If they can't fix it soonest, I would ask for some pro-rated monies back for not meeting your contracted rate. Thank you for the update, Eric. Hope you can continue to get better support on the link. Meow! "Freedom is just Chaos, with better lighting." Alan Dean Foster |

Actually that link is paid for by the State of California and is not exclusive to Seti. https://cenic.org/ Also it seems as if the issues are closer to the Greenbank end 2000+ miles away. So the university is getting full bandwidth, the other end isn't and will have to pitch a bitch to their provider. Now if we could get an Internet2 cable to Puerto Rico ... |
