109777 1/28/2018 05:00:04 Windows is suspending operations
109778 1/28/2018 05:00:04 Suspending computation - requested by operating system
109779 1/28/2018 05:00:04 Suspending network activity - requested by operating system
109780 1/28/2018 10:33:37 Resuming after OS suspension
109781 1/28/2018 10:33:37 Resuming computation
109782 1/28/2018 10:33:37 Resuming network activity

Why would my TR be doing this. I have all sleep functions disabled as far as I know in W10. It certainly is not heat related as the ambient temps are in the 10s C. What could be causing, apparently the operating system, this to happen?
(the restart is done by hitting the power button which is blinking)

Check all the Power Option plans and see if one of them has sleep enabled. Was there a recent BIOS update that has new settings for C-states or USB power reductions?

Would also check your account settings for for resource and network usage.
Maybe this happens when MS starts running update (or other) procedures, it could be hogging the resources.

Have you recently changed you anti-virus or anti-spyware programs or settings? Are you using Win 10 Windows Defender or a third party Av/Asw software?
A couple of my Win 10 systems would go inactive. I've disabled Defender, reinstalled 3rd party programs, and the behavior has not reoccurred.

I have gone through all Power Options that I know of. I even found a few that I did not know about before I started going to Advanced/Advanced .
This started happening occasionally about a month ago so I decided to see about the BIOS and did an update. It continues with no apparent pattern. Runs fine for days, then sleeps, or may sleep after only an hour of running. I will check out the BIOS however.

CPU is running at 80%, and this never happened when I was running it at 100%. Only update that I am aware of is Defender.
Network is in almost constant use as BoincTasks is active from my laptop computer to monitor my SETI usage.

Sorry, it would be the ghost of one of the many kitties that have cohabited with us.

Too cold in that room for any self-respecting cat to sleep in.

I will have to look into that. I have never heard of Defender causing problems but it is certainly worth a trial run.
By the way, Defender has been running on this computer since day one and this problem only started happening about a month ago.

Or perhaps that of making it the power supply for such a thing, when it also could be a thing handled in the BIOS as well,
if not the need for entering the Control Panel for that of making it such a power handling, or management plan,
where that of power consumption could be a way of saving, rather than spending energy, and therefore also be less effective, or even aggressive, for that of running.

Still capacitors for that of a power supply, but also that I could make it both 3.3 and 5 V for the similar draw or output on the processor, or motherboard.

Are you plugged into a battery backup? Many modern O/S will shut off power hungry programs when the battery kicks in.

As to the month ago, new neighbor with a new hobby screwing with the line power. Had that once, he decided to weld together a new wrought iron fence. Looks pretty, did terrors to my computers.

Next also "waiting" as well, for that of something possibly happening, except for not any work fetch either.

Also Hourglass as well, if you do not catch it or notice for that of the first link, but next that I could be falling off here for that of a subject.

Still having a bit of time here, so squeezing this latter one in as well, because here perhaps also such a thing for myself as well.

I am plugged into a UPS but it is not connected to the computer so the UPS basically just serves as a large surge protector. If I am at home I certainly do power down the computer if there is a power interruption (come to this about it, we have not had a surge/interruption for awhile now).
