Russia... All those denials and alternative explanations... The Arkhangelsk accident where some radioactive material was released.
Nuclear medicine experts in Moscow later told the doctor with Cesium-137 in his muscle tissue that he “must have eaten some Fukushima crabs”.!
Today the Health Ministry’s biomedical agency says Cesium-137 “tends to accumulate in fish, mushrooms, lichens and algae,” the Arkhangelsk region administration said.
“We can say with a fair degree of probability that it got into his body via food products which he'd eaten,” the administration added.

Russia detains shaman on mission to 'banish Putin'
https://www.channelnewsasia.com/news/world/russia-detains-shaman-on-mission-to-banish-putin-11922462
Russian police on Thursday (Sep 19) said they had detained a Siberian shaman trekking towards Moscow on a mission to expel "demon" President Vladimir Putin, picking up a crowd of supporters on the way.
Police in the eastern Siberian region of Buryatia told Interfax they had detained Alexander Gabyshev, the shaman, on a highway near Lake Baikal and would put him on a flight back to his home region where he is "wanted for committing a crime".
"God said that he's a demon," Gabyshev told the TV Rain channel in July. "Nature doesn't like him. Where he is, there are cataclysms and acts of terror."
"Once he's gone, there will be a thousand years of calm and prosperity," he said, wearing a Che Guevara T-shirt and surrounded by supporters at a gathering in Chita.

Hehe:) Only in Russia.
But now I have got unconfirmed news from Siberia that Buryat said that Russian doctors believe that he has tuberculosis. So he brought them samples and claimed that it was his samples. Russian doctors said they broke their own procedures, you need to see the patient actually to make diagnosis. Strange story and shouldn't the doctors be the subject for investigation, not Buryat the Shaman?
To me it's look a cover up by Kremlin to hide the fact that there are people in Russia that oppose Putin.
And the Che Guevara t-shirt... Well I don't think he has one.

Well. Russia still doesn't seem to mind to pollute our Baltic Sea with sewage!
"It's incomprehensible that Kaliningrad, a city 20 times the size of Visby, is allowed to keep spewing sewage into the Baltic Sea," Peter Landergren, an official in charge of water issues at the Gotland county administration, told RFE/RL at the Visby quay. "Simply pumping the waste from 450,000 residents plus local industry into the Baltic Sea is a marine disaster."
Despite million of investments - Russia dumps sewers into the Baltic Sea
According to Transparency International, about 1.6 million cubic meters of uncleaned wastewater per year is released into the rivers in the Kaliningrad region.
These projects have been part-financed by Swedish taxpayers through the EU!

The Russian doctors has now changed the diagnosis of the Yakut shaman from TBC to psychiatric illness.
Alexander Gabyshev, the Yakut shaman who set out to travel on foot to Moscow, where he planned to “exorcise” Vladimir Putin’s spirit, has been sent for psychiatric observation, according to health officials in Yakutia.
“In the event that any abnormalities are detected in the patient, we are prepared to provide the appropriate medical assistance. If necessary, social services could be involved,” the local Health Ministry said in a press release.
Previous arrests of Gabyshev’s supporters sparked unpermitted protests in Ulan-Ude, which quickly evolved into demonstrations demanding the cancellation of recent mayoral elections.

Well being an opponent to Vova Putin is extreme which is criminal in Russia today and being "psychiatric sick" just make it worse.

Walruses attacked and sank Russian Northern Fleet boat at Franz Josef Land!
https://thebarentsobserver.com/en/arctic/2019/09/walrus-attacked-and-sank-northern-fleet-boat
The navy’s text says nothing about the fact that the boat sank, just underlines that «serious troubles were avoided thanks to the clear and well-coordinated actions of the Northern Fleet servicemen, who were able to take the boat away from the animals without harming them.»
The most stunning defeat in the history of the Russian Federation’s navy since the infamous battle of Kuznetsov -vs- The Dry Dock.

The Kursk accident was not trivial and also not funny. Not at all. All 118 crewmen died. That some of them lived several hours in a closed section of the submarine is evidenced by the letters to loved ones that have been found.
Then only three months ago another Russian submarine, Losharik, had an accident in the Baltic Sea. All 14 sailors died.
In the case of the walrus no animals nor humans was hurt. In the dry dock accident only one man was missing and four were injured when a 70-tonne crane falls onto the deck on the aircraft carrier.

A decision revealing how tangible the tensions between russia and its european neighbours have become.

Swedish navy returns to vast underground HQ amid Russia fears | World news | The Guardian

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Musk%C3%B6_naval_base

The top secret naval base on Muskö, about 25 miles (40km) from Stockholm, resembles a cross between Tracy Island from Thunderbirds and the film set of You Only Live Twice, where James Bond grappled with arch villain Ernst Blofeld in his headquarters beneath a volcano.

Completed in 1969, it boasts cavernous underground docks that can shelter warships, with miles of tunnels, offices and a hospital.

On its return to Muskö on Monday, the Swedish naval command said the new location would offer greater freedom of manoeuvre[].[]

“The move is based on the calculation that the Russians could use powerful weapons which demand the level of protection that only Muskö can provide,” said Niklas Granholm, a senior analyst at the Swedish Defence Research Agency.

LOL. No. It won't happen:) The Muskö naval base was built in the 60's in the height of the Cold War. Actually Russia had one like that in Crimea. And they are both huge!
In 1967, the destroyer HMS Halland (J18) was docked as the first fighter into one of the tunnels.
Picture of the other destroyers at the time.

First of all. We don't have so many naval ships any more. And they are now stealth vessels and don't need to hide in any tunnels. Then that Russia should make some naval attacks against Sweden is ridiculous. Well they tried but was more than 200 years ago:)
Actually I was on board HMS Halland now on Christmas 64 years ago:)
However some activities are reopening since we closed it down.
Breaking news from today:)

The Guardian seems to disagree with you.
Swedish navy returns to vast underground HQ amid Russia fears
The Guardian missed the point and exaggerating a lot. It's only the Navy HQ that move back to Musköbasen from Karlskrona.
The naval staff was inaugurated when Musköbasen turned 50 years old yesterday.
https://www.forsvarsmakten.se/sv/aktuellt/2019/10/marinstaben-invigdes-nar-muskobasen-fyllde-50-ar/
The establishment of the Naval Staff at Muskö is a direct result of the security policy's focus on a stronger defense. Reconstructing the Marine Staff is part of the changed management structure of the Armed Forces, said Navy Chief Jens Nykvist.
The Navy commander noted that Muskö provides a fortification protection that is completely unique, at least when the staff has reached the permanent grouping inside the island mountain.

Not funny that a prime polluter doesn't like the messenger, he's just following Trump's lead.

What's coming for the Kurds in Syria
https://www.reuters.com/article/us-russia-warcrimes-convention/russias-putin-revokes-geneva-convention-protocol-on-war-crimes-victims-idUSKBN1WW2IN
MOSCOW (Reuters) - Russian President Vladimir Putin has revoked an additional protocol to the Geneva Conventions related to the protection of victims of international armed conflicts, a Russian parliamentary website cites a letter from him as saying.

The Additional Protocol I to the 1949 Geneva Convention was ratified by the Soviet Union’s Supreme Council, or parliament, in 1989.

What do the Western "climate hoax" and the newest Russian doping scandal have in common? Russophobia, of course! And this week's bonus: the EUvsDisinfo database has surpassed 7000 cases!
The polar bears are doing just fine!

Revenge of the Englishmen and other “Russophobia”
The World Anti-Doping Agency, which announced last week that it is seeking a 4-year Olympic ban against Russia, is apparently also on a flagrant Russophobic witch hunt.
