The Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs calls on Russia's ambassador after the flight incident over the Baltic Sea
Russia's ambassador has been called to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and will be received by the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' Unit for European Security Policy on Monday.
- The Ministry is serious about the incident. The Russian plane has acted in a ruthless and unprofessional manner in a way that jeopardized flight safety, says the Foreign Ministry's press officer Diana Qudhaib.
She continues: - The incident took place over international water. The Swedish plane was in its full right to fly in the area.

Russia's ambassador Viktor Tatarintsev dismisses the Swedish claim that a Russian fighter jet flew dangerously close to a Swedish plane over the Baltic Sea last week.
His comments.
What would the goal be with a provocative flight?
Why should we make provocative flights?
It's normal and accepted behaviour by our pilots.
We have professionally military pilots over the Baltic Sea.
It was not so close. 20 meter?
20 meter could be very far or very close, all is relative.
It's like the Theory of Relativity.
Nobody has mesured that 20 meter.
I can also paint many things and photoshop.
You could do anything with pictures
Jeez...

Reality Check: Is Russia planning to invade Sweden or is UK media spreading more baseless hysteria?
Bryan MacDonald is an Irish journalist based in Russia.
Russian RT with Margarita Simonyan at the helm with some help from some western spies think it's only hysteria.
https://www.rt.com/op-ed/450701-russia-sweden-invasion-hysteria/
Hmm... Let me think...
Does Sweden suffer from Russian trespassing in its airspace?
Does Sweden suffer from problems with Russian fighter jets over the international air space over the Baltic Sea?
Does Sweden suffer from simulated attacks against Sweden with Russian bombers very close to its border?
Does Sweden suffer from Russian missile tests very close to its border?
Does Sweden suffer from Russian submarine activities in its waters?
Does Sweden suffer from Russian fake news?
Giving the answer yes on all accounts I presume that Russia want to invade Sweden.
But after all, Sweden is a lilliput country so what:)

Privet.
No, Russia have no ideas of invading us and we don't suffer from hysteria either:)
That was more then 200 years ago. "Ryssen kommer" as it was called.
But today reading Russian news about Sweden makes you think that Sweden want to invade Russia...
But why not? After all Russia was founded by Swedish Vikings about 1000 years ago. Hehe:)

The Russian people would be better served by a modern Swedish Ruler ;-)
Maybe.
That's perhaps why Putin learnt Swedish. Well some but it's actually true.
I for one try to learn Russian just in case.

In honour of the International Women Day, servicemen from the Russian Armed Forces put together an odd but original gift to show their appreciation of the fairer sex.

On a little nuclear sub
https://youtu.be/jM4rrp-7RG4
Russia celebrates its armed forces on 23 February: The Day of the Defenders of the Motherland; since 1995 – a public holiday. The day commemorates the 1918 establishment of the Red Army of Workers and Peasants, commanded by the Soviet War Minister Leo Trotsky. In the militaristic setting of today’s Russia, the Day of the Defenders of the Motherland has become a major holiday, and the St. Petersburg choir performed in on of the city’s most magnificent venues: St. Isaac’s Cathedral – a masterpiece of late classicism.
The hour-long concert’s highlight was the song “On a little nuclear sub” – here in a coarse translation.

On a little nuclear sub with a little nuclear launching pad
With some war-heads of a hundred megaton I might add
Crossing the Atlantic, obeying what the officer said
“Go forth and aim for Washington, comrade”

Tra-la-la, hi-hey-ho
Pay is low, what can you do
Hello there, time to go
Brave New World of our foe

Are not Scientologists considered extremist in Russia?
John Travolta hanging out with Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov in Moscow.

The other guy is Filipp Kirkorov, a five-time winner of the "Best Selling Russian Artist" title at the World Music Awards ceremonies.
He was also married to Alla Pugacheva, another famous Russian singer, even in Sweden in the 80's. Skål ta mej fan:)
Both Filipp and Alla are in the extreme LGBT community!
@Dmitry Peskov. What are you thinking?
Extremism is a criminal offense in Russia!

Russian sub launched cruise missile without leaving port
https://thebarentsobserver.com/en/security/2019/04/russian-sub-launched-cruise-missile-without-leaving-port
"Severodvinsk" is Russia's most advanced submarine and is based less than 60 km from the border to Norway.
Theoretically, the Kalibr missile launched from a Yasen class submarine moored at the base in Zapadnaya Litsa can reach targets in most areas north of the Arctic Circle in northern Norway, Sweden and Finland within minutes.
Let's say that a NATO sub would do the same from a port 60 km from the Russian border.
What would happen? Kremlin would immediately call for a Security Council resolution.

BBC vid - Did Russia meddle in Magadascar's election?
A BBC investigation has revealed that at least six candidates were offered money by Russians in the lead up to last year’s presidential elections in Madagascar.

The presence of Russian political strategists with close ties to the Kremlin, posing as tourists with the alleged aim of helping to control the tightly fought race, has raised questions whether democracy in the former French colony has been fatally compromised.

Yevgeny Prigozhin, known as Putin's chef, is said to be the leading Russian behind the interference.
He is also indicted in the US case.

Blin. No, this must be Western propaganda.
Or it is?
Putin’s Notorious ‘Chef’ Is Now Meddling Across Africa
https://www.bloomberg.com/news/features/2018-11-20/putin-chef-yevgeny-prigozhin-is-now-meddling-in-africa
Prigozhin and his hodgepodge of contract soldiers and political operatives are offering security, arms training and electioneering services in exchange for mining rights and other opportunities, two people familiar with the matter said. He’s already active in or moving into 10 countries that Russia’s military already has relationships with: the Democratic Republic of Congo, Sudan, Libya, Madagascar, Angola, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Mozambique, Zimbabwe and the Central African Republic.

Madagascar, the world’s biggest producer of vanilla and a holder of major deposits of nickel, cobalt and uranium, is another chaotic country where Putin and Prigozhin share an interest. A Kremlin envoy flew to the island in March for talks with then-president Hery Rajaonarimampianina.

Russian election consultants affiliated with Prigozhin are in the country amid a tight race for the presidency between two other former leaders that will end next month, one of the people familiar with his activities said. Russia has backed several candidates, according to Jean-Claude de L’Estrac, a former Mauritius foreign minister and expert on Indian Ocean territories. The Madagascar Foreign Ministry declined to comment.

Looks like the Putin's Chef, Yevgeny Prigozhin, is a key figur in Russia's meddling in Africa (and Ukraine and Middle East)
Novaya Gazeta (one of the few Russian papers that Putin doesn't control), together with the Center for the Study of Corruption and Organized Crime (OCCRP) have investigated him further.

Why does Yevgeny Prigogine’s plane fly to the Middle East and Africa almost every month? And what does the "Kremlin chef" cook in zones of armed conflict?
http://rusletter.com/articles/why_the_plane_of_yevgeny_prigogine_flies_to_africa_and_the_middle_east
No matter what the name of Yevgeny Prigogine [Prigozhin] is associated with - the "factory of trolls" [IRA], interference with the elections of the United States, "PMC Wagner", and the extraction of oil, gas and gold - the title of "Kremlin cook [chef]" was firmly attached to it.
Novaya Gazeta, together with the Center for the Study of Corruption and Organized Crime (OCCRP), looked at where Prigogine’s plane was flying and found out that for a long time, it was moving to Africa and the Middle East as scheduled. What does an ordinary catering entrepreneur prepare in areas of armed conflict around the world?

Humour in Russia can sometimes be somewhat different in Russia compared to our Western:)
Youtube star Kristina "Keyyo" Petrushina has decided to return to her birthplace Omsk in Siberia, which she left with her mother as an 8-year-old and came to Sweden.
With her she takes her idol, comedian Johan Rheborg, who has always had Russophobia, travelling through St. Petersburg, Moskow, Kazan, Jekaterinburg to Omsk.
When Johan Rheborg comes to Moscow for the first time, "Keyyo" arranged a surprise; he should perform completely unprepared at a Russian standup club!
Start at 9 minutes https://www.svtplay.se/video/21713486/keyyo-med-rheborg-i-ryssland/keyyo-med-rheborg-i-ryssland-sasong-1-sa-har-jag-aterigen-begatt-vald-mot-mig-sjalv?start=auto&accessService=none
And Kristina met two Russian comedians and asked if there is something that you cannot joke about.
"Politics can be difficult. Everyone does it but you have to be careful. Some can knock on your door and say 'You mustn't joke like that'"
And Johan was showned pictures of her in Crimea, "Crimea. In Ukraine?" he asked and she replied, "No, it's Russia". Ouch:)
Kristina later drink tea with Russia's "Keyyo" at 22:30 ...

Our PM Stefan Löfven met Putin yesterday.
https://twitter.com/dimsmirnov175/status/1115641343295086592
The fact that Swedish companies are still working in Russia was something Putin noted with pleasure when he met Stefan Löfven before their bilateral meeting.
- Our relationship is developing, despite some problems. The trade exchange is growing and we have almost five billion investments from our Swedish friends, Putin said.
When the interpreter translated "friends" into "partners" he received a reprimand from Putin.
"I told friends and he translated into partners," Putin muttered.
The interpreter quickly corrected his mistake.

Actually Putin know some Swedish:)

Ура!
Russia’s state television has launched a new channel that targets the younger generation with programming dedicated entirely to World War II.
The Pobeda (“Victory”) television channel, which will broadcast wartime movies, documentaries and shows 24/7, appeared in cable and satellite packages ahead of May 9, Russia’s national holiday marking the Soviet victory over Nazi Germany.
It was launched using a huge red button.

https://pobeda.tv/
https://www.1tv.ru/news/2019-04-09/363323-segodnya_nachala_veschanie_pobeda_novyy_kanal_tsifrovogo_telesemeystva_pervogo
There will be everybody's favorite Soviet films, and the latest blockbusters about bravery and heroism. And the audience of “Victory” will be the first to see rare footage of the chronicle with commentaries from historians, reconstructions based on previously unknown archives, documentaries. One of the main events will be, of course, the annual procession of the "Immortal Regiment".
BTW. The "Immortal Regiment" is an international public civil-patriotic movement to preserve the personal memory of the generation of the Great Patriotic War and now covers more than 80 states and territories.
Including Sweden:) and even Finland!

Hmm... The definition of a журналист (journalist), seems to be different to some in Russia then in other countries...
https://twitter.com/JuliaDavisNews/status/1117941534018678784
Foreign Ministry spokeswoman, Maria Zakharova, is appalled at those who say that Julian Assange is not a journalist.
Zakharova asserts that Assange worked as a journalist for Russia Today (RT).
