5. Putin doesn't respect his voters and doesn't want to hear them

Watch any recent "Direct Line"—it’s a complete circus. The president is clearly uninterested in domestic policy or his voters' concerns. He couldn't care less about the things we complain about every day. What Putin wants is endless wars (in which his own children don't serve)—not better internet or higher wages.

Don't even get me started on the opposition—it doesn't exist. Putin himself spent 26 years talking about how important criticism is. But name one lawmaker who criticizes him. The ones who tried were labeled foreign agents, forced abroad, or are six feet under. He's afraid of debates and fair elections—because the emperor has no clothes.
