Finally, in the gas sector, the CEF will support, with nearly €215 million, the Baltic Pipe project, a new, bi-directional offshore gas interconnection between Poland and Denmark. This pipeline will be crucial for security of supply and market integration of the region"
"security of supply"? From who?
I think Poland still have to rely on Russian energy.
Like Germany of course.

Now an eye will have to kept on Russian ships in those areas that maybe dragging their anchors.

https://www.rferl.org/a/russia-bullying-undersea-baltic-cable/26996165.html
Sweden, Finland, and the Baltic states of Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania are by now accustomed to growing Russian military activity near their airspace and territorial waters.
And it's not only power cables.
A lot of telecommunication cables as well.

Then we have this...

Oh dear:)
In Russia, there is this new board game "Наши в Солсбери" "Our Guys in Salisbury". Only 77 rubels.
The route of the heroes in Europe coincides with the movements of Mishkin and Chepiga.

Love the Russian news outlets RT and Sputnik.
They only cover news about Europe but Russia, Middle East and the US and make twisted stories of them.
Today Sputnik News have this news on "dogs' carbon footprint, in which vegetarian food for pets was proposed as a "climate-smart" alternative."
https://sputniknews.com/viral/201901241071780733-sweden-dogs-vegeterianism/

No. Professor Sigrid Agenäs doesn't explains "how the dog can eat climate-smart".
Perhaps the Sputnik and RT team should learn Swedish a bit more.

Oh. I forgot to mention that Russia's story about the Swedish "Spy Plane" came only the day after that a Russian "Spy Plane" together with two fighter jets actually entered Swedish airspace.

I meet a lot of people from Latvia right now for some odd reasons.
Long story but including a guy's 50th birthday, (and some alcohol as well) and now sitting in kitchen listening to Russian news or whatever.

The Russian National Guard becomes Arctic protector
https://thebarentsobserver.com/en/security/2019/01/national-guard-becomes-arctic-protector#.XE8LPKDbiBM.twitter
The National Guard is a military force directly subjected to the Russian President.
It was was established in 2016 as part of a major reshuffle of Russian law-enforcement authorities.
The powerful body includes more than 300,000 officers and is headed by Viktor Zolotov, the former leader of the president’s security service.

https://themoscowtimes.com/news/russia-moves-decriminalize-unavoidable-bribes-following-putins-proposal-64316
Russia’s Justice Ministry has proposed to stop punishing officials implicated in bribery or other acts of corruption under “exceptional circumstances” in new draft legislation, following a plan set by Russian President Vladimir Putin last year.
Russia ranks among the world’s most corrupt countries, with Transparency International’s annual corruption perceptions index ranking it in 138th place this year out of 180 countries.

Some more not so surprising news.
Russia has suspended its involvement in the Cold War-era Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty (INF) following a similar decision by the US.
President Vladimir Putin said Russia would start developing new missiles.
https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-47101429
"I want to draw your attention to the fact that we should not and will not be dragged into the arms race that is costly for us," the Russian president told Lavrov and Shoigu.

It's now winter and cold and lot's of snow.
Perhaps also some nuclear winter soon...
So just in case, prepare by making an Ushanka.
And don't forget your cat.

If you have a bear as a pet. Just multiply the sizes by 5.

PS. You can of course use Ushankas in the USA as well just in case...

Russia has a very weird mind of what extremism is.
In fact all opinions, political or religous, can be thought as extremists if you want to.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yarovaya_law
The Yarovaya law (rus. Закон Яровой), also Yarovaya package/bag, refers to a pair of Russian federal bills, 374-FZ and 375-FZ, passed in 2016.[1] The bills amend a pre-existing counter-terrorism law and separate laws regulating additional counter-terror and public safety measures.

First picture of Swedens new Sigint-ship aka Spy-ship to replace HMS Orion in the Baltic Sea.

History of HMS Orion.
She was built with extensive support from the US National Security Agency (NSA) [3] and launched in 1984. In the same year, Orion participated in the submarine hunt at Karlskrona when she (together with the magnetic loops at Kungsholmen) via her sonar perceived a marked echo when approaching Karlskrona .
In November 1985, Orion was hit by a Soviet Corvette of the Nanuchka class after coming too close to a Soviet naval exercise in the Gulf of Danzig. [3] [4]
In 1998, the ship was subjected to a false bomb threat, which led to major headlines. [5]
On May 17, 2009, Orion sent her rescue boat into Russian territorial waters off Kaliningrad and saved the lives of two Russian recreational fishermen. [6]

Moscow accuses Norway of northern military buildup - Here is map of submarine ports
https://thebarentsobserver.com/en/security/2019/02/moscow-continues-accuse-norway-northern-military-buildup-here-map-submarine-ports
“Contrary to the historical traditions of neighborly relations and cooperation in the Arctic, Oslo continues to escalate tension and increase the risk of military action. This will not be left without a response,” Russian foreign ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova told reporters

Russian logic. One submarine port 375 kilometers from the Russian border is very close.
Russian naval forces 45 km and 110 km from Norway's border are not close.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zapadnaya_Litsa_(naval_base)
In comparison, 2/3 of Russia’s naval forces, including about 30 nuclear powered submarines, are based on the Barents Sea coast. Zapadnaya Litsa, where the 4th generation multi-purpose attack submarine of the Yasen class has homeport is 40 kilometers from the border to Norway. Within a distance of 110 kilometers are the naval ports of Vidyayevo, Gadzhiyevo, Polyarny and Severomorsk where all multi-purpose and ballistic missile submarines, as well as the surface warships of the Northern Fleet are based.

The Munich Security Conference (MSC) is a leading international platform on security policy and is hold this weekend.
Garry Kasparov tweeted this.
https://twitter.com/Kasparov63/status/1096874452221083648
Having Russian officials speak the Munich Security Conference is like having a medical conference on fighting cancer and inviting tobacco companies to explain why cancer isn't really a problem.
Well as long countries at very least talk to each other I don't see any problem.

Apparently Russia think they have the right to decide whats published in news media in both Norway and Sweden!
https://thebarentsobserver.com/en/civil-society-and-media/2019/02/barents-observer-now-blocked-russia#.XGwAkZBMtPs.twitter
«Block this newspaper to hell,» says Vitaly Milonov. He is Member of the State Duma, Russia’s lower house of parliament, and known for his hardline stance on liberals and independent-minded groups.
In an interview with the Federal News Agency, Milonov lashes out against the small English- and Russian-language newspaper, saying that it represents «degeneration and decay» and that «its ideology and its clients is based on people with queer psyche.»
According to Milonov, who is also a member of the parliament’s Foreign Affairs Committee, makes clear that the Barents Observer must not only be blocked in Russia, but also that diplomatic measures should be taken.
«We must send them a note of protest, call in the ambassador of Norway and say: what you are doing can affect our relations, if you continue to produce this kind of materials for Russians in the Russian language.»
The blockage comes after Russia’s state media authority Roskomnadzor on 28th January issued a warning saying that the story about Dan Eriksson, a homosexual Sámi man from northern Sweden, is a violation of Russian law. In a letter, the media authority gave the Barents Observer 24 hours to remove the Russian-language article.
The story, originally published by Swedish newspaper Arjeplognytt, tells about Eriksson who lived through years of hardship, and twice tried to kill himself, because of taboo and prejudices connected with his sexuality. He is now a happy man who works with mental health issues among young Swedish gays.
Roskomnadzor argues that the story propagates suicide and is in conflict with Russian Federal Law «On Information, Information Technologies and Information Protection».
The Barents Observer has declined to comply with the demands and the story remains available on the website, both in an English and Russian version.

Sorry Putin and his mafia cronies. We have press freedom here in Scandinavia since we live in a democratic society.
And we have the right to publish news in any language we want to. Russian, English, Swedish, Finnish, Arabic, Kurdish or any other language!

Russian provocation again:(
It was just before lunch on Tuesday that a Russian Su-27 fighter plane flew near a Swedish signals intelligence aircraft outside the Baltic coast.
The Swedish aircraft performed one of its routine assignments and flew over international water and airspace, states the Swedish Armed Forces.
- Then it was courted. A Su-27 came as we judge as at a Russian incident hunting. It approached at super-sonic speed and met us. It turned around and after another passage it was very close. It was about 20 meters from us that you can see in the pictures, says Anders Persson, Chief of the Air Staff in Uppsala.

And the Finnish government decided to award 1.65 million € for identifying GPS jamming in its supplementary budget to the civilian Finnish Transport and Communications Agency. This is a completely new proposal. The background is the recent instances of Russian GPS jamming in the north, hitting Finland and Norway
