I wonder if Kremlin remember this?
Русско-шведской организации ”Спутник”.
Sputnik proposed Luleå municipality several years ago to rise a memorial stone to the 24,399 Russians soldiers and civilians who ended up in Karlsvik, Luleå after the WWII. The Russian prisoners of war came by train from Norway in 1945, where they had worked for the Germans for further transport by boat to the Soviet Union. The event is part of our Russian history and also part of the Swedish war story.
Well here is the stone rised in 2015:)

Theresa May is facing mounting pressure to take decisive action against whoever was behind the nerve agent attack on an ex-Russian spy and his daughter.
http://www.bbc.com/news/uk-43367515
But White House repeatedly declines to echo Britain that Russia was behind or complicit in nerve agent attack on British soil.

What about the other EU countries, which are also responsible for their silence.

Read some of the other EU countries news.
And the EU are also preparing for the trade war with the US.
But remember that the UK is the closest ally to the US.

Preparing for a Trade War with the USA while Putin is around?
Trump may be (fill-in the negatives). But the EU, by not starting a Trade War against its real enemy - Putin. Is living in a fantasy land of possible suicide.
Sorry, the USA is reverting, excepting to threats, to its historical non-interference in Europe's problems.

Hmm.
It's Trump that threats the EU with trade war.
The EU of course react.
Now what do you think Putin think of his?
He hates the EU and NATO and now Trump is helping him.
ypy, ypa, ypa he says when going to his poll station on Sunday.

Nope. But I expected the EU to understand and react in a manner not to make the situation worse.

Care to put forward why you think that.

And where has the reaction from the EU and elsewhere made the situation worse. Do you honestly expect countries not to react when their income is at risk.
No country as yet, AFAIK, implemented any retaliation, only put forward the steps they are considering if Trump doesn't back down. I thought some of the responses were quite well thought out, as they targeted high ranking Republicans, who if they have any backbone, which i doubt, would stand up to the President and make him see sense.
Not withstanding the fact that every time idea's like this have either been retracted after a short time or gone on to cause bigger problems for the US economy. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2002_United_States_steel_tariff

Trump put the tariffs on to punish China, but China's contribution is only ~5%, so the tariffs affect those countries that are US allies.

Not a good way to win friends and influence people.

Add in the other aim of Trump's to increase coal production and increase jobs, at a time when demand for coal in the US is on the decline. Which means it needs to be exported.

And which country want's more coal?
I'll give you a clue, I mentioned it in the first line.

Again, as I said in another thread. Another Trump policy not thought through.

Now Ukraine's biathlon team chooses not to go to Russian World Cup Biathlon stage.
"We are talking about an aggressor country, a country that systematically neglects international law, including in sports, does not observe anti-doping rules," Ukrainian Minister of Youth and Sports Ihor Zhdanov said.

'Don't threaten a NUCLEAR power' Putin REJECTS British ultimatum on Russian spy attack
https://www.express.co.uk/news/uk/931249/vladimir-putin-ultimatum-russia-spy-attack-nuclear-power-world-war-3-theresa-may

Yesterday, Trump refused to blame Russia for Skripal poisoning, but Tillerson condemned Russia for its actions in the UK, Ukraine and Syria.
Today, Tillerson is suddenly fired via Trump's Tweet.
Don't tell me these events are not related, with Russia as the common denominator.

Geez. Think again Trump!

Britain have received support from France, Poland, Peru, whose UN Security Council ambassadors expressed their unanimous agreement with Britain.
Thus, the demands increase in Russia to provide answers to how it happened that Sergey Skripal was poisoned.
Sweden is also behind these demands.
Foreign Minister Margot Wallström announces on the Government Offices website that she spoke on Wednesday evening with her British counterpart, Boris Johnson, and expressed solidarity.
"From the Swedish side, we have noted Prime Minister Theresa May's assessment that the nerve agent in question is of a type developed as a chemical weapon in the Soviet Union and later taken over by Russia, and that Russian interference in the act appears highly probable," said Wallström in the statement.

•Nikki Haley warns: Russia could use chemical weapons in New York•

New York City could be the next site of a chemical assassination attempt if world leaders fail to punish Russia for its alleged role in poising of a former spy in the United Kingdom, U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley warned Wednesday.

“If we don't take immediate concrete measures to address this now, Salisbury will not be the last place we see chemical weapons used,” Haley told the United Nations Security Council. “They could be used here in New York, or in cities of any country that sits on this Council. This is a defining moment.”

Quite, but May is Milquetoast. A proper response should be to inform ambassador to the Russian Federation that its use of a WMD on UK soil constitutes an act of war and only the gravest circumstance can be result. Order her subs to sea, bring her air and naval force to maximum readiness, tell all UK subjects to exit the Russian Federation immediately without delay and recall all the ambassadors.

Remember that Skripal's daughter was also a victim.
If Putin denies, do we revert to a Cold War type of scenario. Do we declare that Russia is an enemy and stop trade or at least impose economic sanctions.
Remember, Putin controls significant energy imported by some in the EU.
It is likely that Putin will laugh at any Diplomatic Criticism of his actions.

If Putin denies? LOL. He always denies!
And Maria Zakharova...
MFA spokeswoman Maria Zakharova referred to the UK's expulsion of Russian diplomats as "trash," described UK Foreign Office as "liars" and mocked the idea that the Royals aren't coming to World Cup 2018 in football.
However, she WAS raving mad about possible asset seizures from Kremlin-linked oligarchs.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9CLRlhNM06w&feature=youtu.be&t=2079

The EU has already sanctions against Russia
Sanctions due to the situation in Ukraine.
Sanctions due to threats to Ukraine's sovereignty, etc.
Sanctions due to Russia's illegal annexation of the Crimea and Sevastopol.

That Putin should stop export energy to EU is highly unlikely.
They cannot afford it.

And now Moscow 'will expel British diplomats soon'

Oh dear.
Russia's state TV
Participant points out that Russia is constantly lying to the world —MH17, Crimea, etc— which is why it's not taken credibly.
RT's editor-in-chief Margarita Simonyan screams at him:
"The West is lying all the time. They're either paying you, or you don't love your Motherland!"

That the EU can effectively hurt Putin when he can also collapse many of their economy's. Means that there is no effective way, at this time, to do anything to stop Putin's attempt at reconstituting a Greater Russia.
Greater Russia, not the economic well being of his people, is Putin's objective. If his people live in poverty, Putin will still live a life of wealth.
Putin's attempt at reconstituting a Greater Russia seems to be on hold.
And the Donbass "campaign" in Ukraine failed.
And Alexandr Dugin "Putin's brain" have been quite several years now.
Dugin’s relationship with Putin and his inner circles has changed over time. Its extent is contested. Certainly, both men came to maturity within the former Soviet Russia. Both men were shocked at the regime’s collapse. Both rued Russia’s ensuing fall from superpower status. Both men are now committed to ‘making Russia great again’.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aleksandr_Dugin
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eurasianism#"Greater"_Russia

btw Why is Russian RT America allowed to broadcast and stream in the US?

Pre-election debates on the TV channel "Russia 1".
Two of the presidential candidates are Ksenia Sobchak and Vladimir Zjirinovskij.
Ksenia Sobchak promised to appeal to the CEC with a complaint about the behavior of other participants in the pre-election debate on the TV channel "Russia 1" for interrupting her speech.
After the leader refused to give her extra time and several shouts from Zhirinovsky, she burst into tears and left the studio.
Sobchak on the air harshly went through the electorate of Putin.
"Return to the kindergarten! Put the pot on the pot, then the girl can improve," Zhirinovsky shouted at Sobchak.
"You must call a psychiatrist and put a white robe on her!" "Tie her up with her hands!" "Weep, Ksenia weep!" Mom will come running now, nose will die! "- he did not stop.

There are lot of conspiracy theories now in Russia about the Skripal poisoning in Salisbury.
Here is one:)
http://www.mk.ru/incident/2018/03/14/smi-skripalya-otravila-nesostoyavshayasya-svekrov-yulii.html

By the way, earlier the British media published eyewitness accounts that, shortly before the discovery of the unconsciously Sergei and Julia Skripal, saw a strange woman nearby - in a mask .

LOL
