Looking at the Haveland graphs you can see several dips in the In-progress numbers where the Scheduler has been reluctant to replace work that has been returned. Grant Darwin NT |

Yep. noticed that too. I would certainly say the schedulers are *NOT* running like a "fine tuned and well-oiled machine" Ha ha! Seti@Home classic workunits:20,676 CPU time:74,226 hours A proud member of the OFA (Old Farts Association) |

Forums are extremely slow & very few WU are sending on each new WU request. UL OK. It's only here? <edit> Forums back to normal speed. Receiving Sun 04 Mar 2018 08:41:07 AM EST | SETI@home | Project has no tasks availableon the new job request. But the RTS buffer is full. It's sunday, Servers must be awaking one at a time. |

It's been kinda hurky jerky here this morning. One minute things seem to be fine, and a bit later the forums are slow. Certain stats pages refresh for me good one time, and the next time take 5 minutes to load. Something is still getting tangled up in the background. Getting work requests filled is also a rather mixed bag today. Meow. "Time is simply the mechanism that keeps everything from happening all at once." |

Today's silver lining is a handful of AP WUs. The small trickle of APs is just enough to keep RAC slowly climbing...for now. ;-) ...Ghia... Humans may rule the world...but bacteria run it... |

Those constant notices from BONIC are a tad annoying! Can they be disabled? Same message all the time...update version...blah blah blah... |

Well either some "elves" were working in the lab this afternoon and playing with the servers. Or the transitioner mysteriously cleared itself up from reporting a 48 year backlog. [Edit] Website is very slow in trying show Tasks. Just get the spinner for minutes and minutes. Actually I think the results purge backlog is more worrisome. Has somebody heard anything that the scientists AKA D.A. is keeping the results around longer than normal? Possibly for Nebula use? no I will not say it again, no I won't, even if my logs say otherwise..... The Kittyman goes 1 version before me with 6.10.58., but mine is the last version released before the rot set in. :-D [edit] I don't mean to offend anyone, but that's my opinion and I'll stick with it. Cheers. |

No offense taken. If it works for you, no skin off my nose. I tried to get the 6.10.58 version and the 6.10.60 version once before from the download directory but those files and quite a few around them and slightly newer versions were all corrupted. So I never pursued traveling back in time. I can make the newer versions work for me or the Linux version I got from Tbar and I have become adjusted to and like the newer menu structures and file capabilities the newer versions offer. I really like the use of an app_config file. I dumped tasks all too often when I manually edited the app_info file. Now make changes in a app_config file and have no worries about fatfinger foulage. I just wish I had the 3000 task limitation in a modern Windows version. I started a project to compile my own 7.8.3 version in Linux but never got that far in the project once I realized the 7.4.44 TBar version was available already and close enough to the menus in 7.8.3. I don't have Visual Studio for Windows, so compiling my own Windows version has dropped off the plate. I got a 4 core next book android tablet. I keep getting neon Wu's for it and it trashes them. 0 seconds then errors them. I don't have a computer right now. So how do I stop the scheduler from sending me these Wu's? |

You can't unless you write a app_into specifying the exact plan_class you want The scheduler is especially bad when it comes to Android devices and constantly sends them an endless series of apps to try. It never settles on any single best app that produces valid results. Seti@Home classic workunits:20,676 CPU time:74,226 hours A proud member of the OFA (Old Farts Association) |

So I'm pretty much S.O.L. at the moment. |
