failing splitters.

They need to add a watchdog on the splitter program to avoid this. It's happening all the time.

Creation rate rises to > 44 / sec enought to feed our hungry hosts.

And they mount a lot of new tapes,

The sky is clearing.

Had to scramble to get some tasks for my fastest cruncher. Downloads pause every few but looking good so far.

Oh dear. Where's the SSP gone?

Good news is the scheduler and upload/download servers seem fine, though we are seeing slow site response and some timeouts ...

Message 1920206 - Posted: 21 Feb 2018, 14:38:46 UTC

When I look at my account page I see the following line at the top of the page:

Notice: unserialize(): Error at offset 12284 of 12288 bytes in /disks/carolyn/b/home/boincadm/projects/sah/html/inc/user.inc on line 43

Time to panic ?

My perfectly normal account page.
Not an error on it.

Oh well, I guess some are more equal than others ...
I'm using Firefox, but I don't think that should matter.

Seamonkey is Mozilla based, similar to Firefox.
Maybe try clearing your browser cache and cookies?

I'm seeing something similar here;
Notice: unserialize(): Error at offset 28664 of 28672 bytes in /disks/carolyn/b/home/boincadm/projects/sah/html/user/top_hosts.php on line 65
That error message should be visible to anyone, whatever browser they're using. The first page of top users hosts is fine, but the second page (&offset=20) breaks badly. That sounds like a failing hard disk to me, or just possibly a corrupt index in the database.

My personal account page is fine, but I have a very low ID number: maybe my data isn't stored on the flaky part of the hard disk?

Edit - at Beta, TopUsers is broken from page 1, but TopHosts is OK for several pages. Here, it's reversed - which confirms to me that it's a disk problem.

Houston, we're going to need a bigger disk...

More issues from Carolyn. I have had disk index error messages from that server continuously since November. They still haven't fixed it. Database is screwed up. Whether by failing disk or corruption, who knows?
