Possible Xi assassination of Kim Bing Bob being blamed on the USA, with the resulting anti american riots and denunciations?Which is different from the current 'anti american riots and denunciations'................ I don't see a downside there in the long run, millions if not billions of lives saved, US takes a little more heat.......bring it. We've proven repeatedly we have 'big shoulders'. So who panicked. I.T tech or bureaucrat? Not the first time, not the last time. Management needs to be sure that there is always hot coffee in the break room so the graveyard shift can see to read the labels on the tapes. |

So who panicked. I.T tech or bureaucrat? Only last summer the same thing happened here in Stockholm. Usually they test the warning system I think three or four per year on a Monday at 3 pm. This time it was a at 10 pm! Press Manager at SOS Alarm, explains why the public could not get any information about the alarm heard over Stockholm at 22:00 last night. An investigation has been made and the Interior Minister Anders Ygeman (S) states that he is serious about the incident. The government now demands that the Civil Protection and Emergency Agency, MSB, investigate the procedures for alarm signals after yesterday's accident in Stockholm County. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pzz6nGeOO8o |

Sorry USA, Nixon isn't going to speak ... Oh, I remember THAT one.... Scary. https://youtu.be/iY57ErBkFFE #Texit Don't blame me, I voted for Johnson(L) in 2016. Truth is dangerous... especially when it challenges those in power. |

Cuban Embargo, just started High School, scared the out of me for a week straight, every day. Not a good way to live and I apologize to anyone offended by my black humor. It's not funny, but what's the alternative. It's basically up to the actions (or continued actions) of one individual and I don't mean Trump. "Sour Grapes make a bitter Whine." <(0)> |

After 30 years of silence it's time again. By the end of May-June, the booklet "If The War Comes" will be sent in an updated edition to the Swedish homes. In a few months, the folder will land at 4.7 million Swedish households, reports Aftonbladet. It was released for the first time in the early 1940s, during World War II, and featured practical tips on how to act if Sweden was to be engaged in the war. I remember the old edition from the early 60's and many gasmasks where distributed to the public as well. There was also evacuation plans in all phonebooks. |

It is Kim which is the problem. Is it? Kim LOVES his LollyBombs. He cries when they are going boom. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FBnAZnfNB6U |

Hawaii False Alarm Hints at Thin Line Between Mishap and Nuclear War https://www.nytimes.com/2018/01/14/world/asia/hawaii-false-alarm-north-korea-nuclear.html?smid=tw-nytimes&smtyp=cur There was a false alarm in Soviet 1983 as well. Thankfully Stanislav Petrov followed his gut feeling instead! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VaPXVJWHji4 |

Edit: While attached to NATO Intelligence in the early 70's. I became aware of a much more serious 'malfunction'. Which, because a few individuals, with their fingers on the buttons in our underground missile silos, and not in contact with each other, decided 'The Order' was not correct. And multiple land based ICBM's were not launched towards Russia. Well, that was a good malfunction, right? The mind is a weird and mysterious place |

I didn't know about that incident. Perhaps because Svalbard is very far from both Norway and Sweden. But scary indeed! Well, the more nukes the more risk that similary incidents will happen again. And sooner or later.... And with Kim with his LollyBombs... |

Well, the more nukes the more risk that similary incidents will happen again. The exact reason the US and Allies need to adopt and publish the policy that due to repeated threats by DPRK, there is a 'no launch umbrella' over the Korean Peninsula and that anything in violation will be intercepted. In addition naval resources capable of 'shoot down in boost phase' should be placed in the proximity. "Sour Grapes make a bitter Whine." <(0)> |

I just hope that if and when push comes to shove our anti-missile missiles will do their jobs. I agree that forces capable of intercepting ICBMs need to be in as close proximity to N. Korea as possible. Bob DeWoody My motto: Never do today what you can put off until tomorrow as it may not be required. This no longer applies in light of current events. |

Don't you have to know the target before you can shoot it down? They are not like an standard artillery or mortar shell, which follows a 'fixed' path. It could be just a test, as with the previous launches. |
