I previously had my donations to Seti@home set to anonymous. After the last few donation pushes I wanted to change that. Well it would seem that there is a problem in doing that namely : Your Donations to SETI@home Below is a list of all the donations you have personally made to SETI@home since September 1, 2005. Unless you select otherwise, if you donated more than $10 in the last year an icon () will show up next to your user name anywhere it appears on our site. Your user name would also appear in donor lists we may present on our web site in the future. You can change the anonymity of these donations individually* by selecting the appropriate checkboxes below and clicking on "Update". /disks/carolyn/b/home/boincadm/projects/sah/html/seti_boinc_html/user_donation.php on line 79 Notice: Undefined index: 6 in /disks/carolyn/b/home/boincadm/projects/sah/html/seti_boinc_html/user_donation.php on line 79 Notice: Undefined index: 6 in /disks/carolyn/b/home/boincadm/projects/sah/html/seti_boinc_html/user_donation.php on line 79 Notice: Undefined index: 6 in /disks/carolyn/b/home/boincadm/projects/sah/html/seti_boinc_html/user_donation.php on line 79 Notice: Undefined index: 6 in /disks/carolyn/b/home/boincadm/projects/sah/html/seti_boinc_html/user_donation.php on line 79 Notice: Undefined index: 6 in With this error showing up whenever I try to change my donations to be shown......................................... Any ideas or is this something that needs to be looked at by the Staff ? |

Yes, this has been an issue since November. Staff hasn't fixed it yet. You might want to sent a PM to Eric Seti@Home classic workunits:20,676 CPU time:74,226 hours A proud member of the OFA (Old Farts Association) |

I am still showing the /carolyn server error message on my account. But Eric did something to my account using his personal admin account that at least fixed my Anonymous to shown status for my previous and current donations. Hope he can do the same for you. Never too late to donate! I believe the special icons are being issued for donations made through Dec. 31. EDIT.... And I suppose I should clarify. The donation levels are $75.00 for a hard drive icon, and $250.00 for a GPU icon. Meow! "Freedom is just Chaos, with better lighting." Alan Dean Foster |

Looks like I missed the icon, but a donation I did make before the end of this year. Cheers to the new year. |

Tisk :-) my snail mail donation made on day 2 of the drive is still "in the system somewhere" still awaiting processing ... I assume they will cash the check sometime in 2018 ... Happy new year to all!! Ed F |

I've been calling the Donation department phone all this week hoping to speak to someone about my donation check that still hasn't been presented to my bank. Nobody home. Left voicemails. I'll have to discuss with my tax preparer whether my donation can be deducted this year. If I understand the law correctly, I won't be able to because no funds have left my possession yet. That sucks. I was counting on using that deduction to lower by tax bill. Seti@Home classic workunits:20,676 CPU time:74,226 hours A proud member of the OFA (Old Farts Association) |

I may be spreading rumours but I feel sure I read that for snail mail donations post marked before the cut off the icons will still be awarded. Stephen ?? |

Snail mail works!! I sent in my donation via snail mail on day 2 of the 'drive' and today it is posted on my account!! It's important to test the old stand-bys Perhaps next time I'll try some method from the 1980''s Hummm let me see ... Ed F I guess snail mail was not the best choice ... live and learn. I'm just glad all the matching monies were used. 'Thank you' to all the generous folks! |

Quite impressive, thanks Mithotar ! Until the dust settles down (the Berkeley S@h staff being busy with many issues these days) perhaps you might want to temporarily add this code to your signature ? (I couldn't find a way to put them in one horizontal line, though). Later on you might want to try to send another PM to Eric, or even better try first the Q & A section where knowledgeable and helpful people might be able to quickly fix this issue for you ? (I couldn't find a way to put them in one horizontal line, though). That's one of the "features" of the so-called web site upgrade that got dropped on us over a year ago. Kittyman has expressed his disappointment several times that he can't get his signature images to appear side-by-side, as they used to. The problem is in the new CSS, where the "display: inline" default attribute is getting overridden by "display:block". I can't see any useful reason for that change. It simply came with the new CSS and was never changed back to the old attribute. I commented on it a couple times, in response to kittyman's posts (see Messages 1834656 and 1870131) , but nothing ever came of it. |

The problem would have to be put in as a new issue on the BOINC development list where it will be classified as unimportant and forgotten. At least that is what happened to my Issue#2106 Seti@Home classic workunits:20,676 CPU time:74,226 hours A proud member of the OFA (Old Farts Association) |

The problem would have to be put in as a new issue on the BOINC development list where it will be classified as unimportant and forgotten. At least that is what happened to my Issue#2106Yeah, it's not a major issue, just a minor annoyance to a few people....and I'm not actually one of them. I just identified the simple solution in case someone else wanted to pursue it. Speaking of minor annoyances, has anyone else noticed the change to the Login screen two or three days ago. In addition to what appear to be minor font changes, the tab sequence has changed. It used to just require a single tab to go from the Userid field to the Password field. Now, it takes two tabs. My keyboard habits for a repetitive task like logging in are so deeply ingrained that I don't even think about what my fingers are doing, or watch the screen. Two days in a row I ended up on the Reset Password screen because I only hit the Tab key once, as I've been doing for years. Induced a rather startled WTF response, I can tell you! |

Sounds like the great idea of having the Reply & Delete buttons right next to each other in the Private Messages, without a "Are you sure" confirmation when you hit on delete (the number of messages I've deleted when I meant to reply...). Yes, there were a bunch of password, authentication and login commits this month that have already been propagated to the server software last week. Add support for "visible password" checkbox You can review all the commits related to login on that page.
