Trump is a perfect example of the wrong messenger delivering a sometimes correct message.

BINGO! Nail on the Head and all other cliche's........

.....interesting all the uproar regarding Trump wanting the construction of an 'immoral, racist' wall to stop illegal immigration and terrorist infiltration on the US southern border and the source of it's funding.........but nothing is uproarious regarding the 900 km wall constructed along the southern border of Syria to prevent illegal immigration and terrorist infiltration and funded by the EU without a tag of immorality or racism....
........Hmmmmmmmm.......

House Freedom Caucus blocked it and shut the government down! Get your facts straight.

And two days after your referenced URL. Where was the attempted compromise from the Democrats?

There is none.

The compromise was the voice vote, numbskull. House Freedom Caucus rejected it.
Face it, Senate and House are GOP controlled, not a single democrat vote is needed, but over in the Senate they got all of them for the voice vote! That is compromise.
House Freedom Caucus will not allow any compromise.

That changes January 3. The agenda of the House Freedom Caucus to overthrow the government of the USA will be blocked.

The voters spoke in the midterms regardless of the voter suppression and gerrymandering.
Eye should accept it, it is called democracy.

Now what is wrong with that wall on Turkey's southern border with Syria, a country where civil wars are taking place. It helps in stopping movement through Turkey to Europe without blocking our NATO partner.

Completely different to the case with the Mexican border wall, which if Trump has his way, will not only block people but also all that trade between the two countries.

Maybe it would be better to take a leaf out of the European playbook and help Mexico increase its security on its southern border. To stop the flow of illegal immigrants from the south without compromising the flow of trade in NAFTA or NAFTA2. The flow of people between the US and Mexico for some years now has been out of the US.

edit] Of course you will have to find some other way to stop the flow of illegal firearms to Mexico.

Maybe the wall Trump has been talking about is on the Mexican side with gun emplacements pointing at the USA?

........Hmmmmmmmm.......
Southern border of Syria? Hmm...
Syria is a country in western Asia bordering Lebanon in the West, Turkey in the North, Iraq in the East, Jordan in the South and Israel in the Southwest.
The only border walls there is what I know are along Israel (US "member") and Turkey (NATO member).
They are NOT funded by the EU.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Syria%E2%80%93Turkey_barrier
The Turkey barrier didn't stop 3.6 million refugees from Syria.
https://www.bloomberg.com/news/features/2018-12-12/an-endless-flood-of-syrian-refugees-tests-turkey-s-tolerance
A camp for displaced people in Kafr Lusin near the Bab al-Hawa border crossing with Turkey on April 1, 2018.

Do you know there is a war in Syria?
Is the US at war with Mexico?
You cannot compare southern US barriers with Syria's neighbor's barriers!
The Iraqi town Mosul close to Syria looks like this today.

Refugee camp in Lebanon.

Refugee "camp" Moria in Lesbos, Greece, EU.

Posters obviously do not read what they type.....or think before typing.

Now what is wrong with that wall on Turkey's southern border with Syria, a country where civil wars are taking place.
conversely what is wrong with a wall on the US southern border ....'where' war between the drug cartels in Mexico spills into the US daily along with tons of illegal drugs?....

They are NOT funded by the EU.

Oh really?.........from your own reference......
"With construction having begun in 2014,[7] 781 km of the border wall has been completed as of December 2017, and it is expected to be completed by spring 2018.[8]

The construction of armored Cobra II military vehicles, which are now being used to patrol the border to Syria. has been funded by the European Union.[9] "

EU Money Helped Fortify Turkey's Border
http://www.spiegel.de/international/world/firing-at-refugees-eu-money-helped-fortify-turkey-s-border-a-1199667.html

[edit] .....further from 'der spiegel'....
“The EU states have provided the government in Ankara with security and surveillance technology valued at more than 80 million euros in exchange for the protection of its borders.

This included the transfer of 35.6 million euros by Brussels to the Turkish company Otokar as part of its IPA regional development program for the construction of armored Cobra II military vehicles, which are now being used to patrol the border to Syria.”

Additionally, in 2016, the EU pledged €3 billion to Turkey under the guise of humanitarian aid to the Syrian refugees in the country. In reality, this deal served to trap the existing 3.5million refugees in Turkey and left those hoping to flee their war torn country at even further risk.

....and yes many of the 'refugees' are in camps but they are NOT IN THE EU!.....which was the point of the EU funding despite their supercilious attitude toward America wishing to control the same problem.

......oh, yeah, completely different......

.....to the completely ignorant......

What?
Oh dear. There are still Americans that think the EU is a country.
NO. IT'S NOT.
Der Spiegel?

So what, considering Claas Relotius...

Heck. The EU is mostly a trade union between 28 Europian countries!
And with 28 migration laws!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Maybe Germany have succeeded to "help" the Turkey migration problem to make their barrier more effective.
I don't even know it's a EU project!
Maybe a part of Fortress Europe.

Yes. Perhaps Germany now have to many refugees to care about.
Here in Sweden we have even more!
I wonder where they are living since there no housing to accommodating them.
Even we Swedes have to wait for at least 10 years to get your own place if you are not fortunate enough buy one that start around 150 thousand dollars to pay upfront!

Ah, poor eye. Didn't see where she has already ended the shutdown. Just has to wait till Jan 3, so the "House Freedom Caucus" a/k/a Tea Party led by Mark Meadows R-NC who said "nonstarter" despite it being exactly what the Senate passed unanimously a few days ago, no longer can veto passage.

The blame is 100% on Tea Party.
