David Eisenhower Says Nixon Will Never Quit

WASHINGTON, Feb. 5 (UPI) —President Nixon will not resign even if impeached by the House of Representatives, his son‐in‐law, David Eisenhower, said today.

Speaking with reporters, Mr. Eisenhower said: “I don't think there is the faintest possibility of him resigning under any circumstances, and impeachment is just not going to happen.

“This decision was made long time ago—that he's never going to resign.”

He added that the House had no “solid grounds” on which to approve a bill of impeachment. But he said “it would make no difference” if it did approve one, the President would not quit.

The interview with nearly a dozen members of the White House press corps was arranged by Mr. Nixon's communications director, Kenneth W. Clawson, and held in his quarters in the Executive Office Building. Mr. Clawson selected the reporters. It was part of a current campaign to help bolster public confidence in the President by making family members and supporters available to the news media.

Mr. Eisenhower, a grandson of the late President, described Mr. Nixon as a “brilliant man” with a “mind of steel.”

I was a kid during the Watergate festivities, but I knew it was a serious deal. My general feeling is Trump is not in any impeachment danger. The way we access news and the way media in general is presented nowadays, I just think it's all a big circus. Nothing really seems serious anymore.

It isn't that anything is or isn't serious, it is that everyone is willing to break or change the rules. Back in the Watergate time, even Nixon knew that getting caught with your hand in the cookie jar meant punishment. Today, it is win at every cost, even the destruction of the Republic.

For some for sure. Both the organizations and the patrons. Others have remained true to journalism and many are able to spot the difference between opinion and facts. However there are always those who deny reality.

Possibly some have substance. Just give the documentation regarding the spoken accusations.

Starting with the Trump/Putin Collusion FUSION lying allegation paid for by the Democrat Party. The Democrat Party and the Never Trumper's have shown themselves to be worse than Trump as an alternative.

That is the real problem and has always been the real problem.

If the hate-filled part of the Anti-Trumper's and Democrat Party would just crawl back to their fetid sewer.

We would then have a possibility of resolving the 'Trump Problem'.

You must first recognise that the "fusion" project was first started by republicans before Trump got the nomination. Which implies that some GOP members were at least suspicious about Trumps morals and ethics, if not criminal activity. And the other point is that the "fusion" memo's were not produced until about 6 months after the FBI started looking at Trumps Russian connections on info supplied by an Australian diplomat in London.
I feel you are getting confused because of the Nunes memo, which did contain 'some facts' but not all and were presented in an order which did not follow the true timeline.

Again, some of Trump's policies, not Trump himself, are supported by the majority of voters.

I would need some evidence to substantiate that claim.
I personally cannot find any evidence for your statement, there might be a few policies that are 50:50 ±2%, but that's a close as I can find, for his Tax policies. Everything else energy, incl. global warming, immigration et al is at Trump 30% : against 70% or close to it.
