Tsar Bomba (Russian: Царь-бо́мба, tr. Tsar'-bómba, IPA: [t͡sarʲ ˈbombə], lit. Tsar bomb/King of Bombs;) was the Western nickname for the Soviet RDS-220 hydrogen bomb (code name Ivan[3] or Vanya), the most powerful nuclear weapon ever created. Its test on 30 October 1961
.............1961.........do you think the US has been sitting on it's thumbs for the last 57 years? I think the folks at Lawrence-Livermore and Darpa might not agree.

And...............why use a sledgehammer when you have so many other tools better suited for the job. Putin is all bluster. It would be his own suicide to use a nuke and he is not crazy like Dim Wit Sum. He also has a crippled and limping economy that could not sustain an arms race or conventional conflict for long.

He's backed a loser in Assad and is trying to bluff his hand against a man who doesn't bluff and another(Maddis) who knows how to kick low.

Satellite images show the Rooshins 'navy' in Syria have all scattered to save their equipment, As for the boys from Iran, if they jump in no doubt the Saudis and Jordanians will not be pleased. And there remains the big "?" .........Israel.

"May you live in exciting times."

The next few days will be that.

Of course not.
And Russia knows that as well as shown yesterday.
"Russia's state TV Rossiya 24 tells everyone not to panic, but nonetheless provides handy guidance on "What to take to the bomb shelter."

Hope that the Genius from Karlstad is careful...

Never said when an attack on Syria would take place. Could be very soon or not so soon at all! In any event, the United States, under my Administration, has done a great job of ridding the region of ISIS. Where is our “Thank you America?”
OMG.
Here is Trump saying that the US have "done a great job of ridding the region of Daesh. Where is our “Thank you America?”.

And Putin says the same ...
Where is our “Thank you Russia?”.

And so THAT is what you're outraged about? Not the gassing/murder of 40 innocent individuals who just happened to be LIVING THERE....?

You are offended by the President's tweet?

Kinda goes back to where we were a few days ago, what happens in Middle East, Korea, Europe, Japan, China and Russia is not 'Newsworthy' unless it involves the target de' jour President Trump and an opportunity to bash him.......such narrow minded hatred........

You are offended by the President's tweet?

I'm outraged about the US president Donald Trump.
Why should anybody thank America for Donald Trump's ignorance?
U.S.-led coalition in Syria is United States, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, Canada, Turkey and Denmark.

I'm outraged about the Russian president Putin.
Russia says there where no chemical attack in Ghouta just outside Damascus.
Russian "investigators" didn't find any evidence at all.

I'm outraged about the Syrian president Assad.
Syrian government says that the chemical attack was done by the rebels.

I'm outraged about the Syrian rebels.
They say that the chemical attack was done by Assad.

So far, all attempts to reach agreement in the UN Security Council have failed - sadly, the Swedish Foreign Minister considers.
"We have not given up hope of finding a peaceful way forward. We will continue our efforts and there will be a new meeting in the Security Council this afternoon, "said Margot Wallström.
She believes that, above all, the Syrian population must be considered, and not to expose the world to something that can "escalate into a serious international crisis".
"It's a very dangerous situation right now, so we need to make another effort to make sure we can get a liability and we should make sure we can eliminate all chemical weapons from Syria.

Bottom line. What a F***ing mess:(

A diplomat sitting on her overstuffed apathy, wringing her hands, and pontificating on how to achieve peace in Syria.

Here's what the other great American liar from the Left had to say............repeatedly........
http://www.larryelder.com/column/obama-claimed-syrias-chemical-weapons-eliminated/

After President Barack Obama’s 2012 “red line” warning to Syria about using chemical weapons, Syria launched a chemical attack in August 2013. But U.S. military action was avoided by the alleged Russian/American/Syrian diplomatic accomplishment, achieved without “firing a shot.” Here’s what we were told:

President Obama, on April 28, 2014: “We’re getting chemical weapons out of Syria without having initiated a strike.”

Sen. Claire McCaskill, D-Mo., crowed on June 1, 2014: “We’re getting the chemical weapons out of Syria.” And Sen. Bob Casey, D-Pa., chimed in July 6: “We should commend the administration for the result that they got.”

Then-Secretary of State John Kerry, on July 20, 2014: “We got 100 percent of the chemical weapons out (of Syria).”

President Obama, on Aug. 18, 2014: “Today we mark an important achievement in our ongoing effort to counter the spread of weapons of mass destruction by eliminating Syria’s declared chemical weapons stockpile.”

Kerry on Oct. 31, 2014: “We … cut the deal that got 100 percent of the declared chemical weapons out of Syria, and people nevertheless have been critical — of one day of bombing versus the virtue of getting 100 percent of the chemical weapons out of Syria.”

Kerry reiterated the accomplishment on Feb. 24, 2015, telling the Senate Foreign Relations Committee: “We got, as you know, last year, all the chemical weapons out of Syria.”

Yeah, that 'diplomacy' really worked well...........except for the children who died choking on their own vomit last week.

How many more before an end is put to this murdering POS?

It's real easy for ivory tower 'ministers' and 'diplomats' and 'Secretaries General' to say what must be done........and then delay or never do anything because someone might be offended(Putin).

No, I'm outraged Rump asked his good buddy Putin to have his puppet Assad use gas to divert from the Mueller Investigation. ;-)
......really? Gary? Despite the 'happy face' I expect you possibly may believe something like that...........not an uncommon symptom of trashtrumpateveryopportunityitis.

[edit] Thanks, Yap for the link to Lyin' Comey. I just posted it on my Facebook page, can't wait to see how long Suckerburg leaves my page up. Maybe I'll join Diamond and Silk in a 1st Amendment lawsuit..........

Is US Defense Secretary Jim Mattis a diplomat?
US Defense Secretary Jim Mattis has told lawmakers that the US military is still "assessing the intelligence" on the alleged chemical attack in the Syrian town of Douma, and that President Trump has yet to decide whether to launch strikes against the Middle Eastern country.
"There have been a number of these attacks. In many cases, you know we don't have troops, we're not engaged on the ground there, so I cannot tell you that we had evidence, even though we had a lot of media and social media indicators that either chlorine or sarin were used," Mattis said, speaking to members of the House Armed Services Committee on Thursday.
The defense secretary said he did believe that a chemical attack took place, but that the US was still "looking for the actual evidence."
"We're still assessing the intelligence, ourselves and our allies. We're still working on this," he reiterated.

Another campaign contribution violation?
https://apnews.com/f37ecfc4710b468db6a103a245146172/$30,000-rumor?-Tabloid-paid-for,-spiked,-salacious-Trump-tip
The Associated Press confirmed the details of the Enquirer’s payment through a review of a confidential contract and interviews with dozens of current and former employees of the Enquirer and its parent company, American Media Inc. Sajudin got $30,000 in exchange for signing over the rights, “in perpetuity,” to a rumor he’d heard about Trump’s sex life — that the president had fathered a child with an employee at Trump World Tower, a skyscraper he owns near the United Nations. The contract subjected Sajudin to a $1 million penalty if he disclosed either the rumor or the terms of the deal to anyone.

My, Rumper's love child ... now we know why he won't release tax returns ... child support payments ... ;-)

BTW wouldn't a love child make someone lose a security clearance? I'm sure Putin could exploit it! Oh, wouldn't the love child need Secret Service protection?
