Once again I'm totally gobsmacked by Trump. Trump pulls our troops out of Syria because they are no longer needed since Isis has been defeated and he will bring them home. Today it was announced they will go to Iraq to fight Isis. It is clear that the intent was solely to betray our allies, the Kurds to Turkey. When will the American people say enough is enough?

the majority of voters voted against Hillary in 2016

What a failure to understand simple arithmetic, as applied to elections

Hillary won the majority of votes, of those that chose to vote.

No candidate won over 50% of the population entitled to vote.

To achieve a 50% + 1 majority of the population of voting age, that winner would have had to won 90% of all the votes cast in 2016.
If someone ever won by the popular vote by that margin, they would have probably won the electoral college by 538:0

It doesn't need to be +1. Add any non-zero number to 50.
BTW, no, we don't want to undo 2016. A so-called "undo" would give us Hillz.

In our federal election last night we saw a similar result: in the US although it appears one is voting for the president, instead the vote is for one of 538 electors who will vote (it is hoped) for the president, and Canada has a parliamentary system where the only thing being voted for in a federal election is the local Member of Parliament (MP). The leader of the party with the most MPs out of 338 total seats elected becomes the Prime Minister, so it's also rather like voting for the Prime Minister indirectly though an elector.

Our incumbent Liberal PM lost the popular vote with 33.1% / 5,911,879 votes to the Conservative challenger's 34.4% / 6,153,521 votes, yet still won the election due to his party getting 157 seats vs. the Conservative party's 121. This is because in many ridings esp. in the west, the Conservative candidate won by a very large margin of votes (ie 80% of the total.)

So, as always, this system cuts both ways and a reform to it would be fairer to everyone no matter their political alignment. Incidentally our re-elected PM ran last time on a promise of electoral reform, but didn't follow through.

Well according to Daily Mail from his finger behavior...
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-7597647/Donald-Trump-accused-flipping-bird-female-astronaut-fact-checked-him.html
The president spoke with astronauts Jessica Meir and Christina Koch on Friday
He mistakenly congratulated them for being the 'first ever female space walkers'
Meir corrected him by saying there have been numerous women before them
Trump then appeared to 'purposely' raise his middle finger to his forehead
The footage was quickly shared on Twitter with many assuming he swore at Meir
Body language expert Patti Wood told the DailyMail.com the act was deliberate
It would not be the first time POTUS has been accused of flipping the bird
