In his first big interview as President-elect in November 2016, he already insisted, “No, I’m not gonna take the salary. I’m not taking it.” !

As I've always said, along with other posters here......Consider the Source.

Funded by / Ownership

ThinkProgress is a project of the Non-Profit Center for American Progress Action Fund (CAP), which advocates for liberal causes. CAP is funded through donations. Major individual donors include George Soros, Peter Lewis, Steve Bing, and Herb and Marion Sandler. Large donors include Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation as well as the Ford Foundation. CAP lists all supporters on their website who have given more than $5,000.

Analysis / Bias

In review, ThinkProgress publishes breaking news and investigative reports with a left leaning bias in story selection. There is moderate use of loaded language that favors the left in headlines, such as this: Trump calls immigration at southwest border an ‘invasion,’ echoing New Zealand gunman’s rhetoric. This article is properly sourced to US News and World Report and The Center for Strategic and International Studies. In another article, also critical of President Trump, there is again a moderately biased headline: Trump’s new budget abandons all pretense of being fiscally responsible. This story is also properly sourced to Whitehouse.gov, Politico and the Washington Post.

A review of several stories show a consistent favoritism for liberal/progressive policies, with negative stories about conservatives. In particular, there is a considerable amount of negative stories regarding President Trump. Although ThinkProgress has a consistent bias against conservatives, they also portray further left progressives in a more a negative light. In general, ThinkProgress always favors the left and denigrates the right. In particular they favor the more moderate wing of the Democratic party.

Jeeze... My source is Donald Trump himself from an interview with Lesley Stahl.
Full transcript here!
http://le-blog-sam-la-touch.over-blog.com/2016/11/donald-trump-s-full-interview-on-cbs-news/interview-complete-de-donald-trump-sur-cbs-news-video-and-transcript.html
Lesley Stahl: Are you gonna take the salary, the president’s salary?
Donald Trump: Well, I’ve never commented on this, but the answer is no. I think I have to by law take $1, so I’ll take $1 a year. But it’s a -- I don’t even know what it is.
Donald Trump: Do you know what the salary is?
Lesley Stahl: $400,000 you’re giving up.
Donald Trump: No, I’m not gonna take the salary. I’m not taking it.

But of course you're allowed to travel down any path you are docilely led.........but look here first

Ok. I have now looked. That's fish voting. How big is Trump's campaign budget? Certainly a lot more than $400,000!
Trump’s 2020 campaign is buying a whole lot of Facebook ads
https://www.vox.com/2019/5/21/18634085/trumps-2020-campaign-is-buying-a-whole-lot-of-facebook-ads
Trump has spent more than $4.6 million on Facebook ads since December.
So he maybe cut $400,000 from that and doing his shows himself instead trickster as he is:)

$100,000 goes to the surgeon general, the rest goes to other projects.

I wouldn't call it a bribe but vote fishing that is unpresidential. But Trump sees it as an investment that will pay off.

Maybe. HeHE:) But to me this is not a bribe. It's part of a presidential campaign. Vote fishing is not illegal in the US. Or is it?
Whatever. In our Nordic countries this type of "Valfläsk" never happens.
"Valfläsk" is an untranslatable very funny idiom that describe what politicians do to gain voters :)

Trump seem to have a hearing problem.
- Greenland is not for sale. Greenland is not Danish. Greenland is Greenlandic. I still hope he is not serious, says Danish PM Mette Frederiksen to the Greenlandic newspaper Sermitsiaq in connection with a visit to the island.

Oh. "Valfläsk" is ekvivalent to Pork Barrel:)

Sigh... Trump still doesn't get it. GREENLAND IS NOT FOR SALE!
https://nypost.com/2019/08/18/trump-700m-cost-of-greenland-is-hurting-denmark-very-badly/?utm_source=quora&utm_medium=referral
President Trump on Sunday said that buying Greenland isn’t “No. 1 on the burner” but quipped that Denmark may want the US to take the world’s biggest island off its hands to save money.

From one commenter.
Denmark does not need to sell Greenland, Denmark does not wish to sell Greenland, and Denmark cannot legally sell Greenland.
In addition, the Greenlanders do not wish to be sold. By international law and common human decency, they have the right not to be treated as livestock when you sell a farm.
The Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs also issued a statement saying that the island is not for sale.
" Greenland is rich in resources such as minerals, clean water and ice, fish, renewable energy and a new front for adventure tourism. We are open for business, but not for sale."
