Perhaps returning to Professional and Impartial Journalism would help. Especially in competition with FOX and MSNBC.
Well today it's not easy beeing a journalist in the US...
Trump tells a reporter that what he says to Putin during their upcoming G20 meeting "is none of your business.

Doesn't excuse the failure of modern day Journalism to report The News impartially.

Agreed. But being impartial as a journalist is a tough one.

Especially today if you want high ratings.

I see SCOTUS decided today that discrimination based on political party is permissible. The gerrymandering case.

Just how long before some red state bans democrats from residing in the state? They haven't banned the party that way, just made sure there aren't any residents there to cast a vote for the party.

I'm sure soon enough we will see businesses all across America putting up the signs "Democrats not welcome."

The next evolution in political fragmentation will be the 'City State'.
Concentrations of like minded Citizens demanding their Rights, and enforcing them.

That is starting to happen with gated communities.

Tillerson out because he stopped a war
Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates planned to launch a military operation against Qatar at the beginning of a diplomatic crisis that erupted in June last year but were stopped by former US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson in an act that may have played a key role in his dismissal.

This is funny.
And why would foreign countries care about who will be next president in the US?
https://www.svt.se/datajournalistik/vem-vill-bli-president/
23 Democrats and two Republicans. Now the race is about which two will be candidates for the presidential election in the US in autumn 2020. Should Trump gain confidence in a second period, or will it be one of the candidates from the Democrats who takes office?
Who is Weld by the way?

Ooh. quoting William F. Weld.

"Opposing the free flow of goods or people is a bad idea."

Weld is just another idiot of his times (I bet that he still looks for "Commies" under his bed before he goes to sleep. ;-)

My review:
Winner of the Democrat debate: Kamala Harris. Yes. "The United States does not want a food fight, the United States wants you to put food on everyone's table"
Loser of the Democrat debate: Joe Biden. Yes.
Winner of the 2020 election: Donald Trump. What?

Trump's approval rating's, although low, are double that.
If so, Trump wins.
Well not a the moment.
https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/trump-approval-ratings/
And perhaps if more US citizens bother to vote his approval ratings will plummet.

If we degenerated into forcing free individuals to vote against their will.

No. And I say again No. By not voting doesn't say anything really.
Only that some voters, in the US case half of them, doesn't care of anything. Simple as that.
However voting is compulsory in Belgium; more than 90% of the population participates.
I think compulsory voting should be implemented in every country.
We don't have that but even so 85% of us vote.
In the US? less then 50% showing up every 4 years for a voting process that take in worse cases a couple of hours...

We have advanced beyond those primitive Country's who believe that Individual Rights and Freedom of Expression regarding those running for Office, or the Government in general, must be stopped.
Are you implying that you/America are a far superior person/country?

That is their Individual Right and Freedom of Expression by their actions or non-actions regrading what they believe about the Politician's on the ballot, or the Government in general.
Well to me it seems like most of the US "We the People" doesn't care about the US Constitution!

Many care, they just didn't have enough schooling to understand written English. Then these are those who think if the founding fathers didn't anticipate the Internet, that somehow means the government can't regulate it the same as things that did exist and are roughly the same were allowed to be regulated. If those are correct then the Constitution would need to be 100,000 pages with 25 loopholes per page. Makes lawyers money. Unfortunately some of the State Constitution's look like that.

Therefore, exercising ones freedom to vote or not vote. Is exercising an individual's freedom of opinion and is the bases of our Individual Rights as enumerated in our Constitution. It is not Anti-Constitution.
So therefor it's OK when more then the half of the population not even showing up on election day with the right to give a blank vote?
The biggest party will be "Don't blame me because I didn't voted".
