This is because he is the polar opposite of a ‘ Gentleman ‘, who has qualities the British admire. A fine example is Gareth Southgate.

Why oh why would a Republican president give an interview to the Sun newspaper, did no one tell him that its catchphrase is "News, Sport, Celebrities, Gossip".

Whilst many British people realise that a lot of isolationist in the USA care nothing for the rest of the world, I for one am sorry for a country I once believed to be better than many but discover both here and in the press is really a bully of the worst kind. I am due to visit the USA in September. I suspect it will be my last visit, if the far right wing come to power, as it seem they may, then it will not be a nice place and it will not recover in my lifetime.

No it does not mater to right wing America, but this is still an open forum and as your president was in this country making his badly thought out and stupid remarks then we British will respond.
