I'd guess about 2/3 who voted for him support some of his positions, I'd guess about 1/3 who voted for him hated Hillary.
Of the 1/2 of Americans who didn't vote, I suspect the majority of them didn't want either but there wasn't any other choice.

I suspect that number comes from an approval rating. I suspect that means that about 1/2 found something he did that they thought was right. It doesn't mean they agree with anything else. Such is the nature of popularity contests.

The only statement that you will get officially from Berkeley University is that they support free speech.
It is the students that decide, and they have a long history of protesting. As illustrated below.
