He first had to have a go about the lack of funding for infrastructure, which again shows his ignorance, as this was the first scheduled run of a new higher speed link between Seattle WA and Portland OR.

Again, some would criticize Trump if he cured Cancer. Get a grip Nick. Your opinion of what, when, where and about whom Trump tweets means less than nothing. Get over yourself and Trump. It's eating you alive.

And you need to educate yourself regarding the 'new high speed rail line'. The Mayor of one town near the crash site had warned repeatedly that running high speed rail traffic on that line would result in exactly what happened.

The mayor quoted is my mayor from my town. His prediction came true. The proper safety equipment was not being used even though it is installed on the tracks. The road crossings are not safe in most folk’s opinion. That is the rub. If they made it safe most of us are Ok with it.

With the idiot driving the train, this could have happen next to school, church or shopping center. They have cut my town in half with 79mph trains all day and night. That is a lot different from a few slow freight trains passing through.

It is easy to cry NIMBY until it is in your back yard and not safe and now we have fatalities.

Similar legislation was tried in Kansas recently, and it did not work as intended. Police, Fire, infrastructure all but failed. Companies did not flock to Kansas, and wages did not go up.
