Well the CPU is 10 years old released Q1 2007 .
Considering it was working before i also assume it has something to do with win 10.
Most probably one of the recent updates.

Yes I think you are right, Win 10 was great when first released now however the latest updates seem to cause problems.

My main machine was totally crippled by the Fall Creators Update, all Nvidia drivers failed to install after, and I had to roll the update back to get it working again.

So I will retire both the old Dells along with my ageing HP and two "home builds" and just continue on this machine for now.

As long as my RAC is more than one I am fine :-)
