First of Mr cRunchy, I loved your cooking. I also know he has no problems with us carnivores.

As to the meal, the plan is to BBQ a roulade, baked potato, cheesy broccoli and apple pie. That is planned for 24th. The next day will be all the traditional US stuff.
Turkey, gravy stretched with Knorr seasoning mix, cranberries out of a can, Joline's Jello salad, mashed potatoes real mashed P with cream and lot's of real butters , green bean casserole and left over pie with lot's of whip cream out of a can.

You are all going to have lovely food over this Christmas..

Uli I have a really large stack of cooked pears, smoked cheese and cashew nut butter pancakes when you are ready...

Or just some oven warmed bread, butter and coffee..

Stretched gravy. That sounds like matrix mid air magic thing..

Green bean casserole and left over pie with lot's of whip cream.

Ohh my god...

Salivating...

Ulibelle, whipped cream should not come out of a can. Danimal is trained in the culinary arts, so I'm pretty sure he owns a whisk. Insist that he use it.

If I could, I would be right over. Once I up my savings account, prepay certain accounts . A visit to Germany is a must for 2018. A UK visit depends on couches.

Uli..

You are family so no couches here for you. :)

(I have a shed outside :o))))~

We might put you in the basement on the treadmill until you have ground your share of wheat :o)

I might have to dig out the basement first though :/

No. No. ... There is a bed and your own room...

Just message the old gang and see if they are around when you would like to come.

You don't need to discuss your travels with me on the forum.

I will wait for you to let me know when via email \ txt \ phone or which ever way.

xx

If you are going to be alone this Christmas day what will you eat for your main meal?

Over the last 20 years or so I have been alone on Christmas Day most years.

As I have every year, I will have a "traditional" Christmas lunch, turkey, roast potatoes, sprouts. cauliflower, stuffing, and if I remember bread sauce. (all home cooked)

Washed down with a nice glass or two of chilled white wine

That will be lunch.

In the evening I will have Christmas pudding and mince pies with probably a couple more glasses of wine.

Sounds good. Will you be having custard with that pudding?

Going to my fifth holiday party of the month tonight.

Gosh, I wonder why my clothes feel a little tight? I'll have to get our washer and dryer checked out. I'm quite sure they are shrinking my clothing. Any other explanation simply defies logic...

I know, it is them naughty Raccoons substituting smaller clothes during the night!

A viable possibility that had not occurred to me. Yes. Perhaps the washer and dryer are just fine and the raccoons are to blame. Must be.

Have to give this kid some extra Christmas gifts!
Mississippi boy dials 911 to say Grinch stealing Christmas
BYRAM, Miss. (AP) - A 5-year-old Mississippi boy called 911 to report that the Grinch was trying to steal Christmas.

The Clarion Ledger reports that it happened Saturday in the Jackson suburb of Byram. An officer went to TyLon Pittman's home to assure him that the green creature wouldn't take anyone's gifts.

TyLon had been watching videos online when he became alarmed about the Grinch. He told his mom, Teresa Pittman, that he dialed 911, but she says she didn't quite believe him until an officer knocked on the door.

The officer, Lauren Develle, says she grew up loving the character created by children's author Dr. Seuss.

TyLon says he has a plan in case the Grinch does appear: he says he will wrestle him and hold him until the police show up.

I'm struggling this Christmas...not as bad as a few days ago. Thursday night we had a "Longest Night" or "Blue" Christmas service and it lifted me. It's my first Christmas w/ out Mom.

Suz put up the stockings Mom made for us -mine as a child and one for Suz when we got married. I bawled for a good hour before work that day.

Hoping my spirits lift after Christmas because it's incredibly painful right now

Blurf I bawled when My mom died, you will get over this, it's just gonna take a bit of time, how much I don't know.

I hope you feel better soon, Merry Xmas, and I also wish you and Suz have a Happier New Year too.

Merry Christmas to all!
