I'm from Brazil, I discovered this project in a college lecture. Here we have little information, I've seen UFOs twice, never had any incentive to study the Ufos. You know, people think I'm crazy. I want to help the project and know more. Can anyone help me? Julia Elorza |

First of all thank you for all your great work to get it working again. Don't over rush, and it should last longer. Just be a bit more patient. Bugs happen in open source objects, it is the nature of it, but the results will come. |

You have 9 "in progress" work units assigned to your computer. If you can't find them in the BOINC manager, then you need to check your antivirus and make sure it isn't quarantining the work units or the program. Also, if problems continue, better to ask you questions under the Community tab in Message Board then Number Crunching. That is where most people that can help you tend to visit. Zalster |

My ISP put me on unlimited download/upload so the first thing I did was to set-up SETI@Home to run permanently on my main powerful PC 24/7. Will I get mail when I earn points? ____________________________________ John O'Grady in Melbourne, Australia jogatheist@outlook.com |

No. You will need to check your account for tasks reported and validated. Seti@Home classic workunits:20,676 CPU time:74,226 hours A proud member of the OFA (Old Farts Association) |

Hi, if you set Boinc Manager to advanced view one of the option buttons will say "account'. Selecting that will take you to your account page where you can see the stats for your computer. Hi All, Question from an old, returning Member here. Do we get advised by Seti if we actually find something in the WU's we run ?! Years ago, before I went awol ... we were advised about potential "unusual" returns from the work we did, but as I've said in other posts, I've been away for 8 plus years and things must have changed during that time ?! TIA. RG. |

I've been with the project since 2002 and I don't ever remember getting notifications about unusual data. Lots of interesting signals are found, but they are stored in a database for closer examination at a later time. There was a plan in place to put together a quasi-realtime analyzer called the "Near Time Persistency CheKeR" or NTPCKR (prounounced "nitpicker"), but lack of funds, manpower (funds), and barely keeping the existing operations running (manpower + funds), the project was shelved. |

Hasn't NTPCKR now been merged/replaced with Nebula and been operating for a year? Nebula: Completing the Pipeline |

I don't know about merged/replaced. I was under the impression that NTPCKR was still possible if they could improve their hardware and database. NTPCKR was supposed to be "almost" real-time while Nebula was supposed to be long-term score keeping, if I understood correctly. I could be wrong. |

NTPCKR was replaced by Nebula. Einstein@home was gracious to allow use of their super computer to analyze the completed work that NTPCKR was supposed to do. They haven't done all of it at once but do it in sections as Einstein schedule allows. |
