Message 1903937 - Posted: 30 Nov 2017, 20:17:07 UTC

I know the DB is having issues and that is why I probably dont have any WOs but I still get these issues on my event log even though I tried everything i can to fix.
The two lines i am having problems with in the event log are:

11/30/2017 1:06:20 PM | SETI@home | Your app_config.xml file refers to an unknown application 'astropulse_v7'. Known applications: None
11/30/2017 1:06:20 PM | SETI@home | Your app_config.xml file refers to an unknown application 'setiathome_v8'. Known applications: None

a copy of my app_config.xml file

<app_config>

<app>
<name>astropulse_v7</name>
<gpu_versions>
<gpu_usage>0.51</gpu_usage>
<cpu_usage>0.1</cpu_usage>
</gpu_versions>
</app>

<app>
<name>setiathome_v8</name>
<gpu_versions>
<gpu_usage>.49</gpu_usage>
<cpu_usage>.05</cpu_usage>
</gpu_versions>
</app>

</app_config>

You would get those lines if you had clicked 'Reset project' at any time when trying to fetch new work after your last task had been reported.

Clicking that button 'forgets' about any applications you might have run in the past: the lines will disappear as and when you receive new work (after the database is fixed), and with it details of the application you will have downloaded to run the new tasks.

DUH!

I wish I had known that. I did try a reset project. No work for a few days and was fishing for some work orders.

“We are all just prisoners here, of our own device”

Thanx a bunch Richard !!!!
