Speaking of cows, oh steers, oh again bulls.
Ferdinand as depicted by Walt Disney

The bull Ferdinand was actually a real bull living in Spain.
He was called Civilon and was a proud warrior born to die on the bullfighting arena.

Oh. Don't try crawling under a bull's or cow's belly at home.

Hehe:)
All Ferdinand (and Civilon for that matter) wanted to do was go under a shady cork tree and smell the flowers all day. Then one day his mother noticed that he wasn't playing with the other bulls. His mom then asked him why he wasn't joining in with them. He replied and said 'All I want to do is to sit and smell the flowers!' Thankfully, his mother was very understanding.

Nutella fans brawl for discounted hazelnut spread
Brawls have broken out in French supermarkets as shoppers scramble to get their hands on discounted jars of chocolate and hazelnut spread.

The promotion, launched on Thursday, reduced the price of more than a million 950-gram jars from 4.70 euros ($5.85) to 1.41 ($1.75).

Snapshots From a Land of Endless Night
Readers [of the NY Times] describe the thrills and challenges of wintertime in the Far North.
For those who live just above the Arctic Circle, there is at least one day a year when the sun never pushes above the horizon. But there are many people who live even farther north who, after the winter solstice, don’t see the sun for weeks.

We asked readers who know arctic winters well to share their stories and photos of life in the polar darkness. Nearly 700 readers responded from areas all around the Arctic Circle.

Fools and their crypto

What should we do about token sales?

Two days ago a Lithuanian “company” called Prodeum looked like a promising if silly blockchain startup. Their stated goal? To track every piece of food on the internet. While I doubt many of us will care about the exact provenance of the orange we just ate, we could see, in some distant future, a need for this sort of tracking.

...Then the whole thing imploded.

On the 28th the scam shut down, leaving a website containing a single word: p****.

What kind of exotic "support" animal will someone try next that will be denied??

Woman denied emotional support peacock on United flight

Birds of a feather may flock together, but United Airlines recently shot down one traveler’s request to bring her emotional support peacock on a flight departing Newark Liberty International Airport.

Live and Let Fly reported earlier this week that even though the unidentified woman claimed that she had a second ticket for the peacock, the airline denied her request.

A spokesperson for United further tells FOX News that the traveler(s) with the peacock were told they would not be able to bring it on board.

"This animal did not meet guidelines for a number of reasons, including its weight and size. We explained this to the customers on three separate occasions before they arrived at the airport," said United in a statement.

If you need to take an animal with you for support to fly, then don't fly.

Dead goose falls from sky, knocks hunter unconscious

EASTON, Md. (AP) — A waterfowl hunter is in stable condition after a dead goose fell from the sky and knocked him unconscious.

[He] was hunting with three other people when one of them fired at a flock of Canada geese overhead in Easton, near the Miles River on Maryland's Eastern Shore.

Maryland Natural Resources Police spokeswoman Candy Thomson said a falling goose hit Meilhammer, knocking him out and causing head and facial injuries.

I can hear the music and see the scene from "Heavy Metal". Wonder what the Roadster's reentry characteristics are and if there is a parachute in the back.

My understanding is that Elon set this on a Mars crossing trajectory to prove we can make it to Mars.

"Elon Musk tweeted that the vehicle's trajectory had "exceeded Mars orbit and kept going to the Asteroid Belt.""
