Im running seti on a 4 core phenom cpu and a nvidia gt 730 gpu+6gb ram win7
for the last 6 months i noticed a problem about boinc.i used to set my cpu+gpu "work always" but then i started to face some problems about youtube watching while boinc is in use.i thought my pc is strong enough to play youtube videos(480p) when boinc is in use with those settings but ı dont know why it couldnt.İt calculates 4 cpu + 1 gpu tasks on 7.8.3 (x64).
then i changed my preferences to

Computing
Usage limits
Use at most 100 % of the CPUs
Use at most 75 % of CPU time
When to suspend
Suspend when computer is on battery +
Suspend when computer is in use +
Suspend GPU computing when computer is in use +
'In use' means mouse/keyboard input in last 1 minutes
Suspend when non-BOINC CPU usage is above 25 %
Compute only between ---

as you see boinc must be "suspended" if my computer is in use.
and with these settings im still experiencing problems about playing videos on youtube or in windows media player both.
Video is very laggy and freezes sometimes while boinc is open but in suspend mode.
Cpu or Gpu not overheated.
But if i exit the boinc application totaly everything goes back to normal.
i really cant figure out why this is happening and because of this i cannot run boinc in my most of pc usage.
Does somebody has a solution for this?

Set Activity to run based on preferences, because when set to run always, you ignore preferences.

ı know but as i said before im not using "work always" now.
i explained my after settings and the problem is still there.
this means i need to shut down boinc everytime when im doing work on pc.
this is a huge loss of calculation for seti.

Most modern web browsers use GPU acceleration which doesn't play well with GPU crunching. Since your CPU is more than powerful enough to handle the workload, try turning off GPU acceleration in your browser to see if that helps. The steps for disabling are different for each browser. Do a web search if you need assistance.

Im asking your help bc i took every necessary actions but cant figure it out.
I mentioned about my settings, did a clean install, re-install gpu drivers too, browser gpu acc is of and its same in every browser.
Re-install the browsers too(using firefox quantum now but same in ie or chrome)
win optimization is ok.
I dont know what else to do, tim sure there is something wrong about the boinc software bc my nephew reported me the same things and quit using boinc a few months ago.

So here's the problem, you said you have your preferences set to not use the computer when it's in use, and you've defined "in use" as any keyboard or mouse activity in the last 1 minute, per your initial post:

In use' means mouse/keyboard input in last 1 minutes

So, you load up a video on YouTube and you're watching the it, you probably don't move the mouse around or press keys while you're watching a video. After 1 minute of no keyboard or mouse activity, BOINC kicks back in, causing you to be unable to watch videos. BOINC doesn't know you're watching a video. It defines the computer as in use if you're actively moving the mouse or pressing keys on the keyboard.

Increase that setting I highlighted above to the average length of your YouTube videos. So if you watch videos that are 2 hours in length, set "In Use means mouse/keyboard input in the last 120 minutes".

Snooze only stays for 1 hour, then BOINC automatically un-snoozes itself.

thank you ozzfan, but ı know that too.as i said nothing worked.i already put boinc to "suspend mode" at the time that i started to watch a film etc everytime.
Im using seti@home since 1999
but changing the "in use" time seems to work.i set it up to 45 min and until now everything is fine
but now im pretty sure that:
-Even in "suspend" mode, boinc does not completely stops working, something obviously wrong with that setting.

Activity -> Suspend will suspend both CPU and GPU.
Activity -> Suspend GPU will suspend only GPU, but leave CPU tasks running.

GPU tasks cannot run without use of the CPU, hence how Activity -> Suspend will suspend both CPU and GPU.
Activity suspensions will override all other suspensions/resumes, including manually suspended projects and individual tasks, and snooze.

In all your messages you just say what you think you see, but you don't show anything.
So for a next time, please add the event log (SHIFT+CTRL+E on an open BOINC Manager), or the part thereof that shows what you think you see.
Also add the contents of the global_prefs.xml file and if it exists, the global_prefs_override.xml file. These can be found in the data directory, default on Windows in a hidden directory at C:\Programdata\BOINC\ (so just copy the path into Windows Explorer and hit enter)

On all of my systems, suspend means suspend. No work continues to process. I can verify this through both BOINC Manager and Task Manager in Windows. I can confidently say that it works as it is supposed to.

So if you think otherwise, what are you seeing? Do you see work still crunching in BOINC Manager? Do you see CPU usage by a science application in Task Manager?

Update after 11 days, i set "in use time" to 45 minutes and everything is ok for now.
no problem for now.
and as Ageless said i didnt have an image or a text copied before, i didnt think that things are needed.
but if you need i can revert back to my previous settings and take ss and copy the seti files that he asked for.

Not necessary. The solution to your problem was that you were still crunching while watching videos and it was causing problems. Changing the correct setting was the fix and you've confirmed it is working.
