The two 1080 ti's were running fine each doing one task, but since the "guppies" my two 1080 ti's decided to run only of them.

I wonder what happened here?
Could anyone please help?

You have no control over the mix of Multi-Band tasks the splitters send out. The app will happily crunch either Arecibo or Green Bank tasks. No reason to abort "guppis" with 1080Ti's.

They were not aborted for any other reason except that it would not acknowledge the second 1080 ti.
Do all three and or two gpu cards are acknowledged by your systems? If so what should I do on mine. The system with the 780 ti's has no such issues.

Did you add to your cc_config.xml?

<cc_config>
<options>
<use_all_gpus>1</use_all_gpus>
</options>
</cc_config>

He shouldn't have to make that entry in cc_config since both cards are the same type. You only need that entry when you have dissimilar card families in the same host. I don't have that entry on my Windows 7 computers with dual GTX 1070s and both cards are always used and have from the start.

The system with the dual 780's works fine. All I can think of is that your system that you installed BOINC on only had one 1080Ti in it initially. Then you added the second 1080Ti. Windows has troubles sometimes with not properly initiating drivers when you add a second card to a system without re-installing the video driver to recognize the second card. I would re-install the video driver again. You might have to re-install BOINC again. I have no other suggestions. It should crunch on both 1080Ti's without the <use_all_gpus>1</use_all_gpus> option. You can always add that to your cc_config.xml file and see it helps. It won't hurt either way.

I agree with you, in theory you don´t need to add the <use_all_gpus>1</use_all_gpus> line if the GPU´s are exactly equals but, sometimes one card is a little diferent than the other even when they are the same product number. I had that trouble in the past. He can´t loose anything if he add the line and test.

That is exactly the problem. I started with one 1080 ti and then added the second one. I shall work on it this weekend. Thank you every one.

Are you sure the 2nd GTX 1080Ti isn't being used at all? It shows up in your list of installed & supported hardware.

Seti is only your secondary project, so in order to meet your resource share it's probable that only 1 GPU is being used for Seti at any given time.
Instead of fiddling with configuration settings, try reversing your Resource Share values for a while, and see if that results in both of your GPUs being untilised at the same time.

Edit-
3,400 Credits for 200+ seconds work?
Yay, for Credit inflation!

As a coincidence, I had to install a new hard drive and now my SETI is running on both 1080 ti's. That is great, thanks.
But I am seeing a cuda 42 application and no 8.22 Sog, so it is running much slower to complete.
Would you have any suggestions?

Thanks

That system is running the stock application. Once it figures out which is the fastest again, it will (most likely) return to all SoG.
Or you could run the Lunatics Beta6 installer, making sure to select SoG for the GPU and AVX for the CPU.
And you could use some command line values to further improve it's SoG performance.

"And you could use some command line values to further improve it's SoG performance."

This is what I use on my GTX 1070, running 1 WU at a time.
-tt 1500 -hp -period_iterations_num 1 -high_perf -sbs 1024 -spike_fft_thresh 4096 -tune 1 64 1 4 -oclfft_tune_gr 256 -oclfft_tune_lr 16 -oclfft_tune_wg 256 -oclfft_tune_ls 512 -oclfft_tune_bn 64 -oclfft_tune_cw 64

In the project directory there should be a blank configuration file.
If you're running Lunatics, it'll be
mb_cmdline_win_x86_SSE3_OpenCL_NV_SoG.txt

If you're running stock, it'll be
mb_cmdline-8.22_windows_intel__opencl_nvidia_SoG.txt

Just copy and paste that line and save it with Notepad (or similar- Not Word or Wordpad).
The next WU that starts will use those values.

If the system becomes less responsive (video playback stutters, lose a character or 2 when typing) increase the -period_iterations_num to 3, 5 or 7 etc till the issue goes away. On my system with 2*GTX1070s it's minimal enough I can live with it. I'd expect with a GTX1080Ti even with those aggressive values there'd be hardly any lag. If it's a dedicated cruncher then it won't be an issue even if there is some lag.

Thank you again, Grant.

No worries.
Once you go to AVX for the CPU, and SoG for the GPUs with those command line values, you should see a big reduction in processing time (it will take a while for the estimated run times to match the new actual run times)

On the 1080 ti's computer I have Win 10 and as it updated it decided to not recognize the GPU card and it is offering cuda 42 and 50 tasks as opposed to the SoG. I wonder what happened even after re downloading the SoG app it is the same message.
Could anyone help me, please?

Try downloading the driver package from the NVidia site, then re-run the 'Lunatics' installer, etc, etc. MS updates have been the cause of grief to a number of people.

The cuda 42/50 in the list would be what the files were when download. If you installed Lunatics SOG app it should be running them with the SoG app.

Check your Task Manager to see what app is running.

MS updates the GPU to THEIR nvidia driver, which usually doesn't support OpenCl (though I heard this last update upload some kind of OpenCl but it still doesn't work with our projects) so as mentioned above. You need to download the nvidia driver from the NVIDIA website and install it. Also, you should turn off updates (if you can) so that it doesn't continue to download their version of the driver and installs it onto your system. (its usually every tuesday night when this happens)
