I have two machines running, 1 30% of the time another 50% of the time, the computer that is 50% of the time is older, I noticed that on this machine it only downloads projects that take 14+ hours to complete, where as the other machine is 2-3 hours to complete a project, is that due to the processor speed, or is that downloading a diffrent kind of data file? |

The figures suggest that number 2 is a ew machine and it hasn't had enough tasks completed yet to get all its fivures in order. This can take some time depending on the type of tasks being distributed. Bob Smith Member of Seti PIPPS (Pluto is a Planet Protest Society) Somewhere in the (un)known Universe? |

thank you, im not sure what a ew machine is, but new computer got it, its been up for 2 months now, its an old P4 So the time estimates for processing would be accurate, it's just the fact that the processing ability of a P4 is very, very, very poor compared to current hardware. Hence it can only process a very limited amount of work given the time it is on & able to process WUs. Grant Darwin NT |
