Since Kim is a Murdering, Enslaving, Unstable, Maniac with nuclear weapons. Who will never abide by any agreement. They have been stated by quite a few posters, who I believe are waiting with bated breath for a sensible contribution from yourself. |

How are we submitting? It's you Yanks that are inflaming the situation. Also, with what you are stating, given the opportunity, you'd be up there amongst the Stalins & Hitlers. |

Allow him to first murder innocents, I'm not going to answer your question, but going to take a leaf out of your book and ask you a question. How do you think that the U.S. can bring about a regime change in North Korea without causing the deaths of many innocents, other than by diplomatic moves? |

Using your terminology, the USA & USSR terrorised the world for 45 years, have you apologised for that? Should you be nuked for that? From your stance on these boards, there really is no difference between you & Ping Pong II, both of you are full of bluster. |

Circular argument/discussion has become extremely tedious...... .........does the World/US allow thousands of innocent lives to be sacrificed by a Kim 1st strike? or ........does the World/US sacrifice thousands of innocent lives in a 1st strike to prevent worse? Do we allow the Chicken or the Egg to come first? The point is moot..........the outcome is essentially the same........thousands of lives lost. Those that object with "It's the US's problem with Kim, not the World" and offer vacuous contributions such as: Maybe some of these "heroes in their own mind" should grab their assault rifles with their bump stocks and go and see their hero Trump to get transport over there and let their actions speak louder than their words. ;-) .....might consider the possibility of some radioactive kangaroos should Kim achieve his now stated goal of missile systems able to reach the east coast of the US, coupled with his threats against your own people, https://thewest.com.au/news/world/n-koreas-kim-jong-un-threatens-australia-with-nuclear-strike-ng-b88453833z ......instead of trying a thread hijack to gun control...... Sorry... Another unsuccessful attempt to deflect attention from your beliefs. So answer this History teacher: The world has seen how America approaches the war on terror. How is it that with a fat chump spouting his babble, you have done nothing at all where the fat chump is concerned? You as a retired person can only run around in circles chasing your own tail. How constructive is that? |

Is it a circular argument? I'm not sure. Why? Because I cannot see any way that the U.S. could strike first without serious consequences. As I see it the U.S. cannot strike with WMD without informing North Korea's neighbours. If it tried to, North Korea would be informed almost immediately, almost certainly from more than one source. I also don't think the U.S could perform a 1st strike with conventional weapons, there are just too many targets that need neutralising immediately. |

Large assumption there "strike with WMD", how about 1500 conventional warhead cruise missiles and several thousand precision strike munitions aimed at every mobile launcher, artillery emplacement, C.N.C, airfield, Nuclear research or test facility, weapon storage, missile development sites but especially the artillery aimed at the South. Warn the Chinese 30 minutes prior to the action...........say over dinner with Xi in Beijing, possibly November 8......... https://venitism.wordpress.com/2017/10/16/trumps-trip-to-far-east/ Remember the last dinner with Xi?...........I'm sure Saddat does. ![]() "Sour Grapes make a bitter Whine." <(0)> |

It looks like the Chinese are now going to crank up their War Machines in response to Trump cranking up his. Trump certainly wants his WWIII (even if its just to create jobs to keep his supporters happy), but the results may not be what he or his supporters are expecting. No cheers. |

Did you read all my post and the line; I also don't think the U.S could perform a 1st strike with conventional weapons, there are just too many targets that need neutralising immediately. And 1500 conventional warhead cruise missiles and several thousand precision strike munitions, isn't enough as reports say there are >40,000 artillery and rocket sites close to the Southern border alone. Plus it is probable that the NK bunkers are deeper than US bunker busters can reach and probably don't know where all the entrances are. |

“To call it a tactical weapon brings into the possibility that there could be a nuclear weapon employed on a battlefield for a tactical effect,†Hyten [Gen. John Hyten, STRATCOM commander] said. “It’s not a tactical effect. If somebody deploys what is a non-strategic nuclear weapon or a tactical nuclear weapon, the United States will respond strategically, not tactically because they have now crossed a line ― a line that hasn’t been crossed since 1945.†Which is exactly my point, a non-nuclear strike if totally overwhelming in nature, could be tolerated by China and the world if done as a 'fait acompli'. "It's already over, deal with it". Better to ask forgiveness............. @ Nick Apologies.....I missed the reference to conventional arms strike. I would take the position however the US and Allies could bring enough to bear on the artillery as the South and US/UN forces have their own emplacements that I'm sure are pre-targeted on the North. Agreed the North artillery should be first concern. Also how many waves of ground attack aircraft could be put over DPRK from Guam, Japan and carrier groups after the radars and C.N.C are destroyed by stealth weapons?(Ask Saddam and the Iraqi Air Force). If co-ordinated and massive enough Moon Pie's own entourage might turn on him. Otherwise we sit on our hands, wait and hope for the best.......and we all know how that turns out. ![]() "Sour Grapes make a bitter Whine." <(0)> |

Tami, if your alleged 'world view' of the US is correct then may I ask why so many MILLIONS of those 'world' residents are trying so desperately to come here to live? I see you very conveniently claim no national flag but by your post I am led to believe you are another outside 'expert' on what makes America tick without the firsthand knowledge to support that title. You then base your view of the US on Hunter S Thompson ? A man who didn't draw a straight or sober breath in the last 25 years of his self admitted destructive life? Sorry Tami, I realize the Left viewpoint of denigrating the US is a way to be popular in some realms of thought but reality dictates otherwise, and not Thompson's 'reality'. ![]() "Sour Grapes make a bitter Whine." <(0)> |

Yes there are millions who would like to live in the US, but have you looked where they are coming from. And also asking why? You could also ask why people from other countries haven't said they want to leave their countries. On the same subject why is the UK the 2nd most popular country they want to move to. If they all came the UK population would be about 100 million. Your state, Colorado, is only slightly bigger in size to the UK, with a population of ~5.5 million. It would suggest you have more room than people who wish to head in your direction. http://news.gallup.com/poll/161435/100-million-worldwide-dream-life.aspx |
