I'm exploring My TV options, since a lot has changed, refurbished sounds good, one from Amazon or ebay, both are safe, and $311.87,
for a Philips 55PFL5602/F7 55" Class - 4K Ultra HD, Smart, LED TV - 2160p, 60Hz, I'd still need the swivel stand, total $351.77...
No built in Roku like in the TCL, but it's less expensive.
A friendly Santa is helping. I might even be able to get the plumbing fixed, I'll have to see about the electrical(Kitchen and 1 living room outlet).

Then there is this one for $295.12, a Philips 55PFL5402/F7 55" Class 4K (2160p) Smart LED TV, the last one at this price. (SOLD OUT!)
Walmart has this for $398+tax or $428.84 if I try and bring it home in My car...

I might be able to repair My Samsung TV yet, the seller of the main board has lots of parts, We've been talking some, so a main board and a ribbon cable, He needs some pics, I'll get that in the morning, and try and get the "new" main board out too, the 6 screws are easy, though those 4 cable connectors are a royal pain.

The seller is looking for a replacement ribbon cable and a working main board for the tv amongst His parts supply, a ribbon cable snapped a wire, one that allows the remote and buttons to work, meanwhile I unhooked the 4 cables, and I have to remove the 6 screws for the main board soon, the seller is getting the board back.

Grace is being listless, She won't eat Her canned food hardly.

I'm getting better, not having to blow My nose or cough as much, and the gas furnace does work.

Not much going on here, kinda quiet in fact, with the tv being out.

I ordered a quad shielded 8' coax cable to replace a 3' cable, and a green hair brush.

Still tired.

My mailbox is empty, not even dust is there.

There is some new construction in town, a church is being built, so far it's just extending the slab.

Cable 2nd from bottom is damaged(black), needs to be replaced, or the TV can't function, since this cable allows the remote and the tv to work together.
Board pictured, is the mainboard. I took this pic before dismounting the cables.

Well My hopes for repairing the TV are sinking, I'm contact with the place that sold Me the dud main board and who said they have cables, so far nothing out of them, a 2nd place I talked to asked for number on the cable that's CDNB425H, so far that has gone nowhere.

I went to the Post Office, I got two pieces of mail, one from KingSize, a catalog, the other from My congressman, I think He voted yes on the hated tax bill, He's Paul Cook(former Col, I wonder why He didn't retire as a General?)R-CA08... I tore up the mail from Crook, er I mean Cook...

The seller got back to Me, He found a Samsung board that says 55" and LED ok, I just wish this main board had a heatsink on the main chip, TCL does that, Samsung back in 2011 put 4 holes in place, but no heatsink. I sent the info on the cable to the seller, without a working cable this effort is doomed to failure.

And thanks to Carlos, I'm now at 21,800 points, another 10,000 and an Xbox One X is mine, what Carlos sent yielded 250 points, Thank You Carlos.

I'm still coughing a bit, but mostly I'm breathing easier, since I still have some congestion. Last night I didn't need anything special to go bed with.

The seller just asked Me about how long the cable is, I used a tape measure, the cable is 28.5 inches long.

The seller got back to Me again, He didn't keep that cable, says it's a simple job to fix with a soldering iron, something I can't do, My hands shake too much, so this might be it.

It's come down to 2 sets:

Phillips 55PFL5602/F7 @ 135w 54 available $317.85 possibly brighter
TCL 55S401 @ 130w 39 available $348.58 possibly dimmer

A swivel stand that uses the Vesa mounts on each set will cost $46.11, the one for the 401 costs $9.00 for shipping, the other has Free shipping.

Why would I buy a stand? Neither tv has feet that will fit on My tv stand, most tvs are like this today, they expect wider furniture.

At least neither is curved...

Now if only the mail will have what it should on Friday.

And for My right side to quit having a gas bubble. Took some gas-x for this.

Both TV's are refurbished.

The 55S401 has Roku inside it.

Today the wind blew in an invoice, from H&B, I paid them $300.00 by check back in October to fix My gas furnace, I was told that would take care of it, and I would owe nothing. How much is this 09/25/17 invoice? $174.06. If that is how much the bill was, then I'm owed a refund of $125.94, which will come in handy. If not, oh crap...

I'll find out more in about an hour, other than that, the mailbox was empty, not even dust is there.

In other news a local church is finally being rebuilt, it was one destroyed by vandalism and fire over a year back, they are extending the foundation of the original building a bit, since their building permit came thru.

After explaining what is going on, the $174.06 is a bill, ok, but instead I get to pay $100.00 and the $74.06 written off as a credit, so I'm happy.

Now on My TV since the internal cable needs repairs, I contacted a repair place in Barstow CA, Russell VCR, they will do the repairs and come out and pickup My TV, of course that's about $120.00, that's $60 labor, $50 trip charge(hopefully both to and from their shop), and maybe $10 for parts(wire, heat shrink tubing, and some solder).

And then there is the tires that I have to replace, $24.00 there, at least I already own the tires.

And yes the car needs to be washed, there goes another $10.

And maybe $158 to get My entry into an auction for that Xbox One X.

If the tv works, after I get the replacement main board in and the soldering done, I'll get the plumbing here worked on, if not the rest will go for the following on Amazon:

ViewTV AT-263 ATSC Digital TV Converter Box $35.99
HDMI to DVI, VCANDO HDMI to DVI Converter $32.99
Creative A250 2.1 Multimedia Speaker System $25.99
tax $6.32
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
$101.29

Why these 3 items?

So that I can at least have a TV, I've got an 18-19" 16:9 DVI monitor laying around, it would be better than nothing, especially if the Samsung won't come back to life.

Now on the 15,000 points for that Xbox One X auction...

Pair one 250 point bag(below) w/a 2L Mountain Dew bottle w/a white cap, that yields 400 points,

I only need 38 of those pairs of numbers to get there, Walmart is good for the bags(see below),

for 2L bottles: Food4Less, Stater Bros(S. California only), or Vons/Safeway.

Doritos Mix Taco Explosion(actually fairly mild) or Doritos Dinamita Chile Limon(Careful, mild these aren't).

Both are worth 250 points per bag.

Any 2 Liter Mountain Dew with a White Cap is worth 100 points.

Both entered together as a pair gets another 50 points.

Why did I go from 10,000 to 15,000?

The amount went up, so I had to compensate.

Grace is sneezing, when She's a bit cold, now She's sunning Herself, Me I'm still blowing My nose and from time to time coughing stuff up, but it's getting less frequent.

I might be going and getting a new tv soon, what type? I'm not sure, it might be a TCL 55S401(130w, no component video, $362.73, 3 hdmi) or a HiSense 55H6D(180w, component video, $301.03, 4 hdmi), the 55H6D has connections out the wazoo(plenty), weighs about 37lbs, the 401 has Roku installed, weighs about 30lbs, and has a few less connectors.

Oh and I got My monitor screen cleaned, Monster makes or made a cleaner that does a good job, after that I noticed a drop in the number of bugs being attracted to My screen at night, very interesting.

Plus I need to get the new tires installed, wash the car, and get gas for the car, all before My 23rd trip to see My relatives, it's gonna be a long drive, ugh, thankfully I had cruise control installed years ago.

If Grace continues sneezing, get her to the vet immediately!
Once in a while is normal for kitties, but continued sneezing can be a sign of a possible respiratory infection.
Do not hesitate if she keeps it up!

When Grace warms up the sneezing stops, this has been going on for years, I was told She has a virus, probably got it at the shelter.

The gas furnace is on.

Ok the TV is or will be on its way, it's a TCL 55S401, a refurbished TV from VIPOUTLET via Walmart online for $373.92 delivered(FREE shipping and no sales tax), I was going to get a Hisense 55H6D that was on sale for an insane $291.14, but due to complications, someone else got that one, the TCL 55 inch is about 6-7lbs lighter in weight than the 6D, so 30lbs isn't bad, My old one I'll fix up, until I do My bedroom will host it. Hey I always wanted a 2nd TV. ;)

The "new" tv is supposed to get here on Thurs Nov 23rd, hopefully I can delay that to the 24th, since the 23rd is Thanksgiving Day.

In the points hunt for that Xbox One X, I'm currently at 23,400 points, I will be at 26,200 points asap, except for 1 out of 11 bottles all the rest are Diet MD, yes I'm drinking them.

Now back to work.
