Not what I was referring to, the output of the Xbox One X and S is 4K, though scaling can occur, though only the X does UHD 4K Blu Rays.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Xbox_One#Xbox_One_X I will eventually get one, unless I'm very lucky in one of the auctions, you never know, I might get lucky.

Vic, You need to get real. There is no one who will give you a loan on what you make and what your current debt is. You can dream about grants all you want. It aint going to happen.
And those Pics you posted, Wasn't that the same place you had big dreams over a few years ago?
Jeez be happy were you live now. I hate to tell you this but any house new or not needs to be fixed as needed. Same goes for your car!!!! And driving with mismatched tires is stupid. The wrong size tire on one side of the car will cause it to pull to that side if you need to slam on the brakes hard.
You could save money by not buying E-bay crap hoping you can fix it. Tell us how many items you have fixed you bought off of E-bay? And how is the computer build going? haven't seen any updates lately.
You don't want negative posts? Stop posting wet dreams.

I was going by what you posted in http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/forum_thread.php?id=81952&postid=1895663#1895663 and since. It all adds up to you saying you need a 55" TV, because the viewing distance is 20 ft, and you are looking for a 4K model.

You shouldn't be trying to watch TV from 20 ft and expect to see everything on screen clearly, even with good eyesight. And to see the benefits of a 55" 4K the viewing distance is from about 4.5 ft to just under 7 ft.

You would be better connecting the X box to your computer monitor. And if you say, "My computer has only one HDMI input and it will be difficult to keep swapping cables" then you need to do better research. You can get HDMI switches and they can be remote controlled as well. https://www.walmart.com/c/kp/hdmi-switches

Vic, you didn't do the most basic check - how much will lenders give you given your CURRENT financial state. You set off on another wild goose chase based on assumptions not reality, SB3 may not get signed off so that source of a deposit vanishes, you have no idea about the real costs of moving your current home to another site, you has assumed the other site would accept your current home, you have no real idea of the service connection charges, you have only a vague idea of the legal costs. Get those then start to think about what you can actually afford to spend.
In your situation the very best St thing you can do is to stop buying on eBay, Amazon, spending on PayPal and start paying down your cards and loans.
And before you say "You don't know what is like to live on just over 800usd a month" not too many years ago I was out of work with a £1000/month mortgage and an income of about £220 per month. Which most certainly does not add up to a good situation, making you look positively well off in comparison.

Except for 1 out of 6 months, I pay $16.33 a month, that 1 month I pay $16.35 or $98.00 every 6 months or $196.00 a year, I'm told that can't be beat by those who sell comparable coverage. So I no longer even try. Now if I bought a used car that would fit Me, then it would be time to find the least expensive insurance I could again, I'd need at least another $236.00 a month in income, which I'll get when I'm 62, I'm 57 now, so that's a piece of cake(no calories too). But that would be on a Mustang V6/GT 2011-2017, 305hpV6, 412hp2011-12GT, 420hp2013-14GT, and 435hp2015-17GT respectively. The GT generally has the better equipment package, than the V6, the V6 gets 31mpg, the GT might get 25mpg since the hp varies a bit. In 2018 the V6 is no more, just an I4 and V8 along w/a 10 speed automatic transmission, the GT gets to be 455hp, mpg, unknown by Me, but higher than previous years. Choices, choices... 10 speed transmission jointly developed between FORD and GM. There might even be a Mustang Hybrid in 2020...

Road and Track wrote:
Ford promises the Mustang hybrid will make horsepower comparable to the current V8 model (shown above), with even more low-end torque. The Mustang hybrid will hit the North American market in 2020.

Quite possibly a Mustang hybrid Mule has already been built and tested, for a 2020 launch...
It might even be like this one... And yes that is a Mustang under there, though this one is a 2018 Mule

https://www.zinzin.com/observations/2017/industry-jargon-development-mule/
Electrics aren't restricted to Golf Cart performance anymore, anyone, and I do mean anyone who thinks an Electric Mustang would be slow, doesn't know a thing...

Cause you got another think coming... Ford is hot on Tesla's trail... And the Future is Electric... Shocking, isn't it?

Signed off, do you mean signed by the Governor of California, Gerry Brown Jr? Done, voted on in the November 6th Ballot of 2018... Will it pass It's not a special election, nor one in June, so turnout should be ok, it just needs 67% to pass, this is a $4 Billion Bond issue on Down Payments for Housing($1 Billion for Vets, $3 Billion for everyone else, though one will have to qualify for this, otherwise one won't get any help, Me I'd qualify), if SB-3 does not get 67% I'm not worried, there is always SB-2 which has a Down Payment ability, and is not on the Ballot, why? Cause the law got 67% of the State Legislature to vote Yes on it, though to some, they think that they should be able to vote on this as a ballot measure, even though measures that go on the Statewide Ballot are only supposed to be Constitutional Measures(Amendments), which is what Prop13 of 1978 says, Prop13 is part of the CA Constitution, while ordinary bills just need 67% of the State Legislature to vote Yes on, the budget by contrast only needs 50%+1 vote to pass, the Voters in 2010 said enough, and wanted the budget to be immune to minority quack rule... The voters also passed Prop30 to pay down Bonds the voters had voted on in years past, wiping out Billions in debt(sales tax and higher income tax), the sales tax part has sunsetted already, the income tax part has been extended by the voters once again. The voters of California have a track record of approving ballot measures that are specific, taxes are one of them, bonds, are our specialty...

And California is a DEEP Blue state, meaning Democrats rule, Republicans drool.

Are you suggesting that in 5 years time, you'll give up on a better house and go buy a mustang for $236 / month?

That is $236.00...

SB-3 is due to be voted on by November 6th 2018, hardly 5 years, if approved, I could conceivably as the saying goes, have My cake, and eat it too...

SB-2 can also do a Down Payment, but needs time for money to build up for CalHome to be used.

I'm covered no matter what, and if I weren't, I could still get a newer used car, this place is paid off, mine to keep until I die, and the park said in no uncertain terms "that I was welcome to stay, as long as I like".

I pay on time, I'm never late, so there is no reason to even start eviction, plus they need all the income they can get, so I'm not worried.

And if they have another rent increase, more people would leave, as did the last time the park did that, totally foolish...

Last time half the park left, half, this park had 88 homes, now I'd think about 40-44, since a lot of them were torn down and not replaced, maybe 20-30 are occupied...

It would be the death knell for the park...

And they'd have to pay for My relocation, and since My place can't be moved to a different park cause of being too OLD, or to its own land, that would mean a place like I mentioned already would have to be bought as compensation and to satisfy state law on this. I would rather leave under My own power, and on good terms, since I do have a few friends in here.

Tenants are not covered, Me I'm a Resident, I'm covered...

CA State Law is on this, specifically the CA Mobilehome Residency Law.
http://mobilehomes.senate.ca.gov/sites/mobilehomes.senate.ca.gov/files/2017_mrl.pdf

Do residents have any rights to compensation for being dislocated when the park closes down?
Mobilehome park residents’ associations have rights under the notice requirements in the MRL (Civil Code
§798.80), and potential relocation assistance under the state Government Code. Where no city permits are
required to close or convert the park to another use, the park must give residents at least a one-year written notice
of termination of tenancy. (Civil Code §798.56(g)) Where local permits are required, which is usually the case, the
park must give residents a 15-day written notice that park management will appear before a local board or
planning commission to request permits for a change of use.
At the same time, the park must make public the impact report requirements (Civil Code §798.56(h)),
and only after approval of all permits by the city can the park then give the residents a 6-month notice of termination.
(Govt. §65863.7) Upon approval of the closure or conversion of a mobilehome park to another use, the park must
render an impact report to the city on the effect the conversion will have on the residents’ dislocation and their
ability to find alternative housing. (Govt. §65863.7) The city must then hold a hearing on the impact report and may
require the park to pay the reasonable costs of relocation to displaced residents as a condition for obtaining various permits
to convert the park and develop the land for another use. Usually this takes several hearings and a number of months.
Actual relocation assistance afforded to residents is determined by the city, usually the planning commission or a delegated
committee or agency of the commission. Often local governments will have a mobilehome park conversion ordinance which
parallels the requirements of state law and fills in the details of the relocation assistance that may be required by
the city, whether it is actual relocation of the mobilehome or a buy-out of the home, and how the mobilehome is to
be valued for these purposes. If the park is to be subdivided into individual parcels (where a conventional
subdivision will replace the park) and where a tentative or final map is required, the city may impose even more
stringent relocation requirements. (Govt. Code §66427.4.) Local officials are the final arbiters of any relocation
assistance to which displaced mobilehome owners may be entitled.

Recap:
●
If no local permits are required for park closure or conversion, then the park must give residents at least one year
advance written notice.
●
If local permits are required for park closure or conversion, then the park must proceed with relocation guidelines
established by state and local law.
●
Local officials are the final arbiters of any relocation assistance.

I'm just astonished that Vic is thinking of buying a s/h mustang. He can't even buy the right tyre for a ford Escort! Or is this just daydreaming and window shopping again, chucked in to get a reaction?

you could get an hdmi to dvi adapter

So I guess you know everything then?

HDMI has sound on it, DVI does not.

There is nothing wrong with a Mustang, My Escort is cramped and not as wide...

And My bills won't be cramping My style forever, just as I continue to lose weight, I've got to charge up the batteries for the scale, Grace keeps laying on it, It says Hello, then Goodbye, there go the blasted batteries...

And furthermore My income won't stay the same, like anyone who gets SS, I get a COLA, most of the time, the law is on automatic, so far just at the Federal Level, to supposed-ly keep up with inflation, COLA means Cost Of Living Allocation, this year the COLA is 2.0%, for Me that is $14.00 more per month, My calculator on the $735.00 says $14.70 though, so My check in 2018 will be $909.72 a month, still less than Poverty, but upward is better, how many people will this affect? According to the SSA more than 61 Million, how many more? I don't know. I just know undocs get nothing, Resident Aliens have to wait 5yrs before getting anything. I have a friend who was a Resident Alien, He's now a Citizen of the US, does He have to wait, I don't know, maybe. The SSP the state throws in does not currently get a COLA, before 2009 it did, then Minority rule took that away, and that has not been restored yet, bills blocked by a Dino in the Assembly Appropriations Committee, possibly Anthony Rendon, He's the Assembly Speaker or should I say Squeaker...

This is from the Alliance for Retired Americans, which I received in My email today. This is an announcement only.

Senate Passes Budget that Slashes Medicare and Medicaid, Offers More Tax Breaks to the Wealthy

The U.S. Senate voted 51-49 on Thursday to pass a budget that requires cuts of $473 billion from Medicare and about $1 trillion from Medicaid over the next 10 years. The measure is estimated to add $1.5 trillion to the deficit over the next 10 years.

The Senate also adopted a last minute amendment eliminating the need for a conference committee. That will speed up the timeline so that Congress can move on to “tax reform.”

“This is a cruel budget that blatantly disrespects older Americans,” said Robert Roach, Jr., President of the Alliance. “It drastically cuts Medicare and Medicaid to give billionaires and profitable corporations money they don’t need.”

Several notable amendments were offered by Democrats and Independent Bernie Sanders (VT). Senators Sanders, Debbie Stabenow (MI) and Bob Casey (PA) offered an amendment to prevent the $1 trillion in cuts to Medicaid, paid for by reducing the Republican tax breaks for the wealthy. The amendment failed 47-51.

Senators Bill Nelson (FL) Stabenow and Sanders offered an amendment to provide additional resources to restore the $473 billion in cuts to Medicare, paid for by reducing the Republican tax breaks for the wealthy. It failed 47-51.

In addition, Sanders and Sen. Ron Wyden (D-OR) offered a third amendment to ensure that there are not tax cuts for the top 1% of Americans. It failed 46-52.

I looked on ebay, HDMI on the Xbox One is both in and out, I found a USB to HDMI adapter, but not the other way around, My speakers are analog, they plug in to an audio jack on the motherboard, and are normally very powerful, though there is this nagging cold solder joint that does need to be fixed...

In is just a pass thru, out is out on the Xbox.

hdmi to sound adapter

There are a few converters that strip audio out into R/L channels, but no way to get this into a PC, not without some sort of card, since I'd rather keep My speaker setup simple and not convoluted, then you have a software problem, and I'm not a software guy, hardware is easy, software is hard.

Besides what if I wanted to see the PC output on the TV?

That's as easy as pie, just an HDMI cable is needed, and newer cards I think support 4K resolution.

if you don't spend money, then you can say that you don't have stuff.

but if you do spend money, you get into the situation where you need to spend more money.

so these are your two choices.
