You haven't Vic otherwise you would be giving wrong assumptions that you are correcting in subsequent posts. To me it looks as if you have seen a few adverts of rates and guessed at a figure. A proper costing would take into account the route, permits and the like. The same goes for the dismantle and re-assmbly costs, service connection charges, legal fees building permits and any taxes liable on that lot. And just where would I get the money to borrow from? A mortgage would not work, since it would not cover teardown, a personal loan is out as that is expensive. Maybe a loan shark? Mob money?? /snark. Savoir-Faire is everywhere! @Vic - all anyone is trying to do is to give you sensible advice, and suggest solutions that you may not have thought of, or angles that you hadn't considered. There is no need to be rude and use bad language. And I was quoted $20,000.00 to $25,000.00, do you want Me to dig that info up? It was informal, no contracts of course. And it is My eyesight here, not yours. Savoir-Faire is everywhere! The T1 Trust, T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, America's First HST |

And it is My eyesight here, not yours.Uncalled for don't you think Vic? Yes it is your eyesight, so lets look at what will happen if you ignore any optical issues: No more computer builds No more driving No more internet forums to particpate in Of course there is voice software available but that can't drive or build computers. It seems your journal is nothing but a daily blog where you don't want any sensible comments that go against your wishes. I suggest you use Wordpress, better suited to what you want. |

There is SB-3 Veterans and Affordable Housing Bond Act of 2018, does mention Manufactured Homes in it. But Cal-Home is not available yet. https://leginfo.legislature.ca.gov/faces/billTextClient.xhtml?bill_id=201720180SB3 Three hundred million dollars ($300,000,000) to be deposited in the Self-Help Housing Fund established pursuant to Section 50697.1. The moneys in the fund shall be available for the CalHome Program authorized by Chapter 6 (commencing with Section 50650) of Part 2, to provide direct, forgivable loans to assist development projects involving multiple home ownership units, including single-family subdivisions, for self-help mortgage assistance programs, and for manufactured homes. These funds may also be expended for any authorized purpose of this program. At least thirty million dollars ($30,000,000) of the amount deposited in the Self-Help Housing Fund shall be used to provide grants or forgivable loans to assist in the rehabilitation or replacement, or both, of existing mobilehomes located in a mobilehome or manufactured home community. These funds may also be used to provide technical assistance pursuant to Section 54007. Any funds not encumbered for the purposes of this subdivision by November 6, 2028, shall revert for general use in the Multifamily Housing Program authorized by Chapter 6.7 (commencing with Section 50675) of Part 2, unless the Department of Housing and Community Development determines that funds should revert sooner due to diminished demand. I just emailed a CA Senate Staffer about this. Savoir-Faire is everywhere! The T1 Trust, T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, America's First HST |

The truth is not meant to be revealed :-) Um, hate to tell you this, but I don't smoke cigarettes, cigars, or anything, or drink alcohol for that matter, rum and cola was as hard as it got... It seems your journal is nothing but a daily blog where you don't want any sensible comments that go against your wishes. To be fair, Vic did state the reason for the thread in the first place. No it's just another tire, it's not illegal, maybe in the UK it is, but not in the US. BS, I've had a tire with a steel rim on the car before, sure the tire was a friends spare, and I was passed by the CHP at least once, and I was not stopped, even the donut uses a steel rim, and the donut is a crappy tire, 50mph maximum on a 14x4.5" steel rim. My car insurance is the state mandatory minimum, it covers other drivers, and is not full coverage. In November I will have two 185/60x15 tires on the front axle, the 195/50x15 size is compatible with a 15x5.5" rim, steel or aluminum. Savoir-Faire is everywhere! Wexford, Ireland, how I don't know much about that town on the coast. I don't object to the size of ones TV, why, it does not bother Me. There are 85", 75", 65" TV's, I'm not impressed by the bigger ones, 65" in a 4K set is ok. Savoir-Faire is everywhere! The T1 Trust, T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, America's First HST |

Ugh, bad news, the City of Adelanto CA has a restriction on what can go on the lot, no manufactured homes over 10yrs old(2007 or newer only), and they can’t be bigger than 700sqft or so, Mine is 810sqft, and 13.5’ wide, the land is cash only, this is a big non starter... Well the last idea on the land might be fubared, so I'll wait until Cal-Home is available, but this 2bed 2bath, built in 1982 w/1152sqft would do, It's on Septic, has a 7200sqft lot, and is located in Sunny Hesperia Mobile Home Estates, I lived in that neighborhood until July 2004, so that would be My old stomping grounds, so to speak, the price is $89,000.00, but with a suitable down payment from CalHome, even that would be ok, and the place could be fixed up perfectly too. And it would be nearer My relatives to boot. Either 56 or 57 miles, much better. This place might not be on a concrete foundation, and might need some electrical, heating, and plumbing upgrades, but that's ok. Sorry no bathroom pics were included. Home sold in as-in condition, been there, done that, sometimes you strike gold, other times lead. Savoir-Faire is everywhere! The T1 Trust, T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, America's First HST |

Back to the drawing board :-( From this latest round of dreams take away a couple of lessons, first find out how much you can borrow to purchase and move to another location (not assumption based guesses, but real hard dollars), second before expending effort and worry check that your current home can be moved to the new location. Good luck in the hunt. Bob Smith Member of Seti PIPPS (Pluto is a Planet Protest Society) Somewhere in the (un)known Universe? |

Back to the drawing board :-( Thanks, yeah, I'm glad looked before I leaped, saved Me a whole mess of problems. And yes I will find out how much I can borrow, but first SB-3 has to be approved by the Voters, meanwhile SB-2 offers a downpayment assistance element too, but does not have to be approved by the Voters since SB-2 is not a Constitutional Amendment, it did pass with a 2/3rds vote of the State Legislature, as required by State Law, and by Prop13 of 1978, which is a State Constitutional Amendment in itself, both SB-2 and SB-3 were signed by Gov Brown and Chaptered.

Regarding tv viewing distances, I haven't measured, but this is my setup, as viewed from my favorite spot on the living room couch. There's been a tv in that corner for 50 years. Originally, they were console sets on the floor, not on a pedestal, like the current CRT. The mind is a weird and mysterious place |

Vic, thinking that you must have 4k TV for viewing at that distance is a fallacy. The viewing distance for a 55" 4K TV is max 7 feet, beyond that you cannot see the enhanced resolution, even with 20/20 vision. |
