Great idea Vic I can't take the credit Carlos, I was influenced by 8 birdies. Though I can take credit for the clapper. Savoir-Faire is everywhere! The T1 Trust, T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, America's First HST |

Copied from the Don't know thread. Well the $38.91 rim or wheel is not "completeable", the seller said that, this is because the rim/wheel is for a 2001 Hyundai Elantra(not in the ad, just afterwards), and not for a 1999 Ford Escort zx2 sport Hot Coupe, so they want to cancel the sale and refund the money back to My paypal account. Copied from the Don't know thread. Ok, I'm not sure what is going on, but it looks like the seller is shipping that Black Dorman Steel 15x5.5" rim, as I have a UPS tracking number, looks like I will be sitting tight, the aluminum rim may never come about. Go figure. Shipping weight is 19.30lbs. Savoir-Faire is everywhere! The T1 Trust, T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, America's First HST |

Copied from the Don't know thread. I'm waiting for H&B Refrigeration to show up to repair My furnace and fix the flue, I called to confirm that, they'd like to replace My system, I could pay for part of it, up to $300.00, but that is all, I just don't have what they want, I'm hoping they show up and do what I can pay for today. Copied from the Don't know thread. H&B refrigeration & service came by, the old A/C coil is clogged, with cat hair and dust, yes I have air filters, good ones, the old A/C coil has to be removed, the old A/C coil is not in use and is obsolete, I was told they might be able to put in a shield around the top of the flue, but altering the flue is out, but removing the old A/C coil is not for today, this takes an hour or so, they thought it was a circuit board or a fuse, today He was in the area, in between calls, He has a refrigeration unit to work on, maybe in a few days My problem can be fixed. Copied from the Don't know thread. I was told the furnace would work again, once the a/c coil and cat hair was removed, the furnace was just not getting any air, and that was keeping the blower on, there just wasn't the time for that today, hopefully this won't take more than 1 hour. Copied from the Don't know thread. The Waste King garbage disposal is here, it has a power cord attached, and I think I now need someone to do some plumbing work, in the bathroom and in the kitchen, after I get the furnace done, after both are done, then I can see if I have enough left over for a tire and a Ford center rim cap, the 15x5.5" Ford rim will be paid for with paypal credit, I hope I don't need to add any money, but I'll find out after I get the refund back into My account there. Copied from the Don't know thread. they can be washed, though I'm not sure how, and they're not made of paper, no other filter will fit, outside of the type that stops grease, which was previously there. Yes Nick, but the metal covers aren't exactly a tight fit, and the a/c A frame could have been clogged up from the previous filter attempts.[/quote] Savoir-Faire is everywhere! Well it looks like I'm getting the Dorman 15"x5.5" Black Steel Rim, as UPS just emailed Me, that the rim will be delivered on Tuesday, I think the refund is out, I won't be able to ship that back, at least I don't think I can right away. The valve stems will be here on Wednesday via USPS, that only leaves a tire and mounting and balancing, though before that I need to ask My neighbor for a favor, to mount the rim on the front left of the car, to see if the rim clears the brake disc and the caliper, the disc should be no problem, the caliper is bigger, but I'll see what goes on then. That might well be a better idea than you might think.....assume nothing. Some years ago, I paid a visit to the Vehicle Workshop for the Council I worked for and arrived just in time to hear a ton of expletives reverberate around the walls. The object of this verbal tirade, was a humble Ford Escort van (of 2002 vintage, I think) and the reason for the 'abuse' were the wheels....in particular, the spare wheel, or more accurately, spare wheels. A seemingly simple front wheel change had turned into a nightmare. A wheel would be put on and seemed to fit fine, but once it was fully tightened, the wheel wouldn't turn. Loosen the wheel nuts a little and the problem disappeared. In the end, something like four seemingly identical wheels were tried, before one was found that turned when tightened. For what seem silly reasons to me, all the spare wheels for the vehicles were kept at the workshop, so, it can probably be assumed that the wheel which did fit, was the one that came with that particular van. There were other vans, which were at least 6 months older, but none of them apparently were 'fussy' about their wheels....any wheel from the newer vehicle (it was the newest) would be fine on any axle of the older vans, but wheels from the older vans would only work on the rear of the newer van, apparently. It suggests that, there was a difference to the calipers, but there may well have been differences to the wheels, or even, both (very small differences, but enough to make the difference). Don't take life too seriously, as you'll never come out of it alive! |

15x5.5" Dorman rim, Offset is supposed to be 45mm, once tested for clearance for the front brake caliper, this should be the spare rim and tire. I hope this fixes My lack of a spare tire for My car, which uses a 4x100 bolt pattern. Of course the valve stems got to Yermo first, they are at the Post Office. Savoir-Faire is everywhere! I would have gone to a junk yard. They are networked and if they don't have it, if someone else does they can get it for you. |

There aren't any way out here, that would be almost a 50-60 mile drive, one way, and unless they could remove a 15x5.5" rim from an Escort zx2 Hot Coupe, I'd have made a trip for nothing, since I'm in no shape to spin a wrench, which I could have bought for $67.97 on ebay(rim and cap), it's a long way for a car that was made from 1998-2003, this rim is New, the pic is the best I could do, and the pic is cropped a bit. My main worry right now is that the company that I called, and who sent someone here while the person was on the way to fix a refrigeration problem elsewhere, only to find a clogged a/c A frame, now does not want to return unless I accept their request that I lets them install a new gas furnace, one that I still have no income for payments or enough money to pay for, on Wednesday I'm going to call them and find out when they are going to come back out here to take that a/c part out of My gas furnace. I say request as they kept bringing up the idea of installing a new unit, I told them how much I get per month, and how much that I have available for this, I have an extra amount beyond the $300.00, but that is for My rent check, I guess some just think I have lots more money, that I must be rich, or something. I know I could put up My notes, and some would say you are a liar, without any proof, I'm not a liar, I wish I were rich, then everything I need would be paid for, and someone would I imagine be getting paid to help. but I've been poor all My life as has My family, including My cousin whose wife has alzheimers.
