Seeing if anyone is still running the raspberry pi 3?

Has something replaced it? Was it recalled?

Yes ten of them, but over on Einstein where the work units are smaller. While it certainly can do Seti work they take a lot longer to compute.

I currently have 2 Raspberry Pi Model 2B's running. I also have a Model 3B, but I let it run other projects as it runs very hot when running SETI.

Any specific reason you are asking ?

I recently got a pi 3. But it appears that seti is not doing anything on it towards my points, What is your average points on your pi's, For cooling i have the clear case with the fan so it should stay cool.

You have processed and returned 2 WUs, but they haven't been Validated yet. Once they Validate, then you will get Credit for them.

My computers (rpi2) are public so you can check the results. They are running SETI on only 1 of the 4 cores and other projects on the other cores. An rpi3 should be significantly faster (probably around 50% faster), but they may run very hot when running SETI on all cores. My Pi's all have a heatsink and are in a stack that is placed on its side on top of my desktop computer (righ above the top side fan so there is good airflow even if it is 'warm' exhaust from the desktop).
If you are looking for credit you should run SETI on a GPU and not on a Pi.

Click on your name here in the forum, or click on your name at the top right hand side of the screen. CLick on computers, the you can select which group of tasks to look at.
If you go through your account (by clicking at the top of the screen), you can view all tasks together, not just by computer.

Thank you, Why do some take so long to get validated?

Thank you, Why do some take so long to get validated?

Some people have very large caches, and very slow computers, and if the result returned doesn't validate against the existing result, the WU is sent out again.
And some times people's computers die, and the WU doesn't get returned at all. S it has to wait until the deadline date before the WU will be re-issued.
Usually a WU is validated in a couple of days. But some WUs can take several months before they eventually Validate, all due to the systems processing them.

Got it, thank you for explaining. Makes perfect sense now why i have so many waiting.

There isn't any add on GPU's for the Pi that I am aware of. It has a built-in VideoCore IV but its of no use for number crunching.

Using 5 Raspberry Pi 3s crunching SETI@Home 100% CPU time. I have them in a 3D printed rack and laid on their side with a big 24V fan pushing hair through each slot in the rack and keeping the CPU packet temperature at a nice chilly 38 degrees Celcius.

Works great, currently crunching almost 1500 average credit and am in the top 25% of average credit contributors.

My Raspberry Pi 2s are crunching SETI using only a single core (project_max_concurrent set to 1) and running other projects on the other cores.
Even though they are only using a single core they have a RAC of 80-90. If your Pi 3s are running on all cores 24/7 they should have a significantly higher RAC.
As I mentioned earlier I also have a Pi 3, but it gets very hot (> 75 degrees Celcius) when running SETI, so I am using it to run other projects now. When I did run SETI, it was significantly faster that the Pi 2's I have.
Based on my experience a Pi 3 running 24/7 on all cores should be able to have a RAC of at least 450.
Are you sure you Pi 3s are running full speed on all 4 cores ?
