Still way down on the Linux machine. I got all of 3 task after the kick routine. Down about 200 now. Just checked my i7 and it's cache was running down. Did Tbar's Update, update, update, and cache re-filled. Grant Darwin NT |

I've been noticing slowing of the webpages and sometimes I'm getting "unable to reach website" and blank pages... Hope this isn't leading up to something... |

I've been getting the same, too. I'll keep my fingers crossed for a smooth 'outrage'. Don't take life too seriously, as you'll never come out of it alive! |

I've been getting the same, too. I'll keep my fingers crossed for a smooth 'outrage'. Cancel the panic. Forums seem to be working again (for now), and the Scheduler is responding again. Grant Darwin NT |

I've been getting the same, too. I'll keep my fingers crossed for a smooth 'outrage'. Has anybody else noticed that the size of all work units are same roughly 705 kilobytes since they increased the the size of work units? I thought they were only increasing the size of the GBT tasks |

. . Nope, they announced that all the WUs would be 4 bit even though the names may not say so. Stephen :) |

Made it by a whisker too on my Windows systems. I ran out on my Linux system mainly because I made an effort not to exceed the BOINC 1000 task limit this time. Seti@Home classic workunits:20,676 CPU time:74,226 hours A proud member of the OFA (Old Farts Association) |

I don't know if you noticed, or if it is only me, but a HUGE percentage of the GBT tasks I received yesterday turned out to be noise bombs. At first I thought I had another rig ready to fall over when I saw task after task end at a few seconds. But I checked on my other 2 rigs and was seeing the same thing on them. That would reduce the run time of your cache if it was the same for you. Stephen :( |

I've got plenty of those noisy WUs, and the Returned in the last hour numbers are over 120,000- so It looks like there are still a lot of them out there, making their way back to the servers. No I noticed the noise bombs too. I had to make a quick round robin through the crunchers to make sure all were still healthy. Everything checked out and realized they were real noise bombs, but I am a little edgy with the linux machine since it can run through a bunch real quick and produce invalids as I found out a couple weeks ago. . . I know that feeling. that was what bothered me. I restarted BOINC and they were still doing it, so I restarted the rig and they were still doing it. That was when I checked the other rigs. It was a relief to see they had the same thing happening. Stephen :) |
