Hmm, I've never seen this type of name before

. . That reminded me of the 4 bit tasks that went through beta-Testing. They never did materialise in Main. I guess the download servers could not have coped with the more than doubled data load.

. . It will be interesting to see what these are like ...

Very interesting Wikipedia synopsis. Also first time I think that one of our candidate searches was cataloged as "interesting" first by the Kepler program.

And the observation date on those files appears to be 25 May, 2017, shortly after the start of a "dimming event" mentioned in the Wiki.

EDIT: But it looks like that date is after the end of the event. Perhaps there are more waiting in the vault after we run through these.

CPU work task?

There's a bunch of datasets from that series in the splitter queue, so they could end up either CPU or GPU.

Oh I see, they haven't started to be split yet.

I thought he meant that he had already received one and was asking about it.

According to the SSP, I don't think any of this work has been split yet.

Got over 25 errors recorded again....
Grrrr!!!!!!

. . Hi,

. . It seems you are only crunching on CPUs on all three rigs is that correct? If so then you should only have 100 tasks in each queue yet you have many more, so it is possible many of those have been ghosted. That is, sent to your machine but somehow lost in the shuffle. The result is your machine does not process them and they remain assigned to you until they time out. Those are the errors you are seeing, they are all tasks that have timed out while assigned to you. You have one GPU that should be able to process tasks if you wanted to use it, that is the Quadro card. It will crunch them much faster than your CPU can.

Stephen

?

Thanks for that information Stephen...

When they asked yesterday it was down, because I tested it at that time. They ARE back up now,

Splitting has begun on these new DIAG_KIC WUs.
However they are such a small portion of the GBT work being split, and GBT is such a small portion of the work I've been getting (at least until the next outage) that i'm yet to receive one.

Here's one;
blc04_2bit_blc04_guppi_57898_15266_DIAG_KIC8462852_0013.30776.818.17.26.9.vlar_1
Run time 8 min 49 sec
CPU time 8 min 43 sec

Just a little longer than a BLC2;
Run time 7 min 38 sec
CPU time 7 min 33 sec

Yeah, just picked up some myself on my GPUs. A bit more chewy than the usual GBT work.

Roger that. Picked up a few too. I can concur that they are slightly longer to process than the normal BLC.

I got one too: http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/workunit.php?wuid=2664330181 and it took 156 seconds (2 min 36 s).
A bit longer than a blc2.
