My Ryzen loves Guppies i`m wondering why i`m getting just a few.
Maybe 10:1 arecibo.

I don't even keep track.
As long as the bowl is full of kibble, I am not very concerned what flavor it is.

Been that way for months for me.
Right after the weekly outage there's plenty of GBT work. After 24-48 hours, it's mostly all Arecibo with a bit of GBT thrown in every now and then.

. . FWIW at the moment I am getting plenty of guppis, at least 30 to 40% of my workload is guppis (of course I would need to do a head count to be sure).

I have just had a quick look at my pendings, found a fair number 60+ dated 9 aug 13:14:05, looks like just after weekly server maintenance.

Most of these have been completed by both myself and wingman but have not been validated or marked inconclusive.

I've maintained for months, ever since I built my Ryzen platform that the schedulers treat it differently than my FX processors. I see that I am always paired with Xeon systems as wingmen. I also see that it doesn't get the most efficient mix of work that the schedulers should have figured out by now. As you say, Ryzen loves BLC tasks. And AVX.

This happens occasionally, especially after server upset, that the validators miss a batch of completed work. Once the original deadline comes up, the tasks will clear.

OK thanks.

I could not remember if they cleared automatically or needed a prod from someone server side.

Many (all) were "time-outs". These were either ghosts that never arrived on your computer, or arrived, but were not processed by your computer in time.

No, he doesn't have 'ghosts'. He completed the task along with his wingmen but the validator missed them the first time around. They will clear eventually.

I was looking at Advent42's errors, which are time-outs, not connected to validator issues.

Thanks rob....I dont think I actually got them....as my wus usually all get done before deadline time.
They may be what you refer to as ghosts......I just use my cpu...no GPU stuff.
It's still crunching away regardless.....

. . Hi,

. . It seems you are only crunching on CPUs on all three rigs is that correct? If so then you should only have 100 tasks in each queue yet you have many more, so it is possible many of those have been ghosted. That is, sent to your machine but somehow lost in the shuffle. The result is your machine does not process them and they remain assigned to you until they time out. Those are the errors you are seeing, they are all tasks that have timed out while assigned to you. You have one GPU that should be able to process tasks if you wanted to use it, that is the Quadro card. It will crunch them much faster than your CPU can.

. . This is why I like to quote the message I am replying to, to avoid crossed purposes. I think you are talking about 2 different issues.

No, just the current 02s, then a new series of 04s (DIAG_KIC).
Any 05s are just resends.

Even so, 95% of my work at the moment is Arecibo. Don't expect much GBT work again till after the weekly outage.

I was thinking the same thing when I saw the DIAG_KIC portion in the name.
Will they bog things down like the 05s, or will they be faster than the 02s?
